18.01.2022 LOVE LOCAL / Through this incredibly disruptive & surreal year there is one thing that I have really learnt to appreciate & adore... & that is my local hood, Surry Hills. I love the sense of community, the passionate shop owners & chatty teams, Ely from our coffee spot who always makes me laugh, my neighbours who keep the street looking so beautiful by planting plants, our local takeaways that always gives a treat to our dog Riley, the dogs that come to say hello on our morni...ng walks & the smiles from locals acknowledging that we are part of this bigger family. Now its not always rainbows & sunshine... & there are plenty of colourful characters & its a bit rough around the edges but that is why I love it here so much. So I am grateful in a way that by being home more I have become more appreciative & thank Surry Hills for making me feel at home See more

01.01.2022 Reflecting on my younger self... #nofilter When I was in my teens I was a ballerina & was always trying to be thinner, stronger, train more, was insecure as I was always wanted to be better than the other students & the other dancers I used to compete against. When I left school (& lived in London) I was a fittings & swimwear model, did some acting & was still always trying to be slimmer, wished I had less muscle (because of my ballet), had a bigger chest, had gap between m...y legs & was always ‘acting’ for the bookers. Looking back, it’s exhausting so many years trying to be someone else, someone others wanted me to be & was it worth it? Wish I could have told my younger self that they were the years to enjoy being you & youth, love what you have, your health, a high metabolism & soo many less worries that just come with age...& people ageing around you.. I am now in my 40s... I still go to the gym (I absolutely love it & its good for mental sanity)... however I eat & drink what I like (maybe a little too much cheese), love my smaller chest, may have a have a few more curves, but that’s totally ok, I walk with appreciation as I know I am so lucky to be healthy, I know I stay true to my beliefs, I have an amazingly real, honest, loving & supportive tribe around me & I am constantly inspired by people who are more talented, smarter, kinder, creative, giving & innovative than me. So... enjoy today, love what you have, continue to be inspired as you never know what tomorrow will bring. Focus on the positives, don’t dwell on the negatives (it does get you anywhere), as life just soars by.
