16.01.2022 Hey Everyone :D Hills Hocus Pocus has been laying low since having a baby boy. So I just wanted to do a quick post to update people. COSTUMES - We still have a range of costumes left to purchase. At the moment we are going by booking only otherwise Wednesday mornings we are available at the shop. Costumes will be available until all of them are sold :) ... BALLOONS - We will be keeping the ballooning. We are lacking at posting photos at the moment but will be on to that asap to show you all the fun work we do. Please email, fb msg or call us for prices and info. Thank you to every single person that helps us keep this mini business adventure alive. We really appreciate the loyalty. 11.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we announce, Hills Hocus Pocus will be closing its doors. It has been a great adventure over the years with many different owners and founding history in Kalamunda and the Hills Community. It’s not all doom and gloom though, the balloon business will still continue as Balloons by T in Maida Vale. For as long as I can remember, Hills Hocus Pocus has been a part of the Kalamunda and Hills community since I was at school. For about 23 years the bus...iness ran from multiple locations providing a wide range of options for Book Weeks, Halloween Parties, Fancy Dress Parties of all ages. We have had a blast managing this the last few years, but with the evolving online world and the unfortunate repercussions of a pandemic, the business is just no longer sustainable. A lot of our stock has been sold to other local costume hire and party suppliers; Costumes in the Valley and AJ's Costume Hire have taken on many of our favourites. If it’s one thing I would love to see is the continued and stronger support of our local businesses. One last big thank you must go to my late mother Vicky, she used to wash all of our costumes every week after hire (even between cancer treatments). Her support along with the endless support from my Dad, Frank has been amazing. To all my family, friend and workers( tahnee & rach ) thank you for all the support and I look forward to working with you all as we launch Balloons by T. Below you can read a little piece of history; Hocus Pocus (as it was then) was started in the spare bedroom of a house in 1993. The three owners (mothers from the local community) built this business for four years giving its initial family friendly reputation in the Hill community taking prime position behind Friendlies Chemist in 1997. Hocus Pocus was then sold and relocated to Mandurah. This didn’t stop one of the new owner Donna from continuing the business and over this time created a bigger and better collection and creating the name Hills Hocus Pocus. This continued for years with the Hills Hocus Pocus Team creating the wonderful store that was. In 2013, Donna sold the store to Jess and Erika, two local ladies who continued the fantastic service and adding party balloons to the mix. This was a great adventure for the ladies. In September 2016 I, Tracey, purchased the store and with the support of my fabulous parents, Vicky and Frank continue to provide the Hills with Costumes, Balloons, and Party Supplies. We trailed moving the business to Canning Road where we thought it would increase the exposure. Unfortunately, with the increase of online shopping and the accessibility of costumes online and in department stores, our little shop just couldn’t compete. We moved to a Facebook platform and traded from the back of the Smash Repairs workshop for a period before we decided in conjunction with the pandemic it was time to close this venture. *this page will be change to Balloons by T
