24.01.2022 What should have been a quick archive search turned into a trip down memory lane for me today. I'm so lucky to have documented so many incredible families over the past 25 years (almost). This is still one of my favourites.

23.01.2022 When Theresa contacted me to arrange a new shoot she said "Quick, we need to do this before the kids are taller than us!" We got chatting about this at the shoot and this scene naturally unfolded. I think he's got you Theresa, by only about a centimetre. 20.01.2022 We shot this beautiful couples wedding many years ago so it was extra special to document their family recently. As you can see they have been busy! The little ones were full of energy and had so much fun scrambling all over the beach during the shoot. I’m pretty sure we got sand EVERYWHERE! 19.01.2022 Remember the film giveaway I had last month? Justine won the prize and asked me to create the film of 4 year old Eloise. We had the most amazing afternoon - playing dolls, painting, jumping on the trampoline, dressing up hugo the dog, a bath with bubbles and then going to the beach. I don't know who had more fun, me or Eloise. As I was creating this film I couldn't help but wonder what Eloise would think of it in 20 years. 16.01.2022 Extended family shoots have my heart! I grew up in a HUGE family, with my cousins being more like my brothers and sisters. I think this is why I love shooting extended families. It's because I see all of these relationships as important and worth documenting. Seeing everyone together, enjoying each others company is golden. Megan

14.01.2022 Career highlight - The sweetest little boy asked me if I wanted to stay for nap time while I was shooting for this daycare centre. I was even offered the wee little bed beside his. These educators obviously do more than care for the children at their centre. They looked at them the way I see parents look at their children. As a parent, I know that's what we want. 14.01.2022 I traveled to Charters Towers recently to do a shoot of a farmer. I was pretty excited to see the end result in the Register today. I can also personally vouch for the produce Anthony is growing on the farm as he generously gave me a huge haul of fresh veg to take home. It was incredible! 06.01.2022 As I stood in an open field at dawn I watched 13 year old Will bring 40 horses into the yard on a four wheeler. I felt like I was in a scene from The Man From Snowy River, pinch me! During the weekend I spent at Goshen Station with the Blennerhassett family moments like these happened often. We climbed down mossy rocks, where ferns grew to secret waterfalls. We watched the sunset turn a million different shades of pink and orange. We shared BBQ dinners with the incredible f...amily that call this place home. I’ve been shooting for the Blennerhassetts for many many years. In their home photos I’ve taken adorn their walls. 05.01.2022 Toddlers and tweens, these age groups grow like weeds. Josh may as well do this while he can because I don't think it'll be too long before Will is the one doing it to him :)

05.01.2022 When you're always the one behind the camera it's tricky to actually exist in family photos. I got creative with photoshop to create this shot - I took this photo of my family making sure there was an empty spot for me to photoshop myself in. My sister then swapped with me and took a shot with me in it. I joined the two together and this is the end result. It brings back all the great memories of a special family weekend. Megan :)

05.01.2022 It's always hard for me to pick a favourite from any shoot. Each image tells it's own little story. Today, this is my favorite from the Green family shoot. 04.01.2022 With a growing team Keyes & Co. Property needed more headshots for their staff to be included on their website and also business cards. When finishing off the images I popped on their website to make sure they matched what they currently had, got sidetracked and ended up looking at houses... Apparently now I'm moving :) It's always a pleasure shooting for this local business. Megan

04.01.2022 I'm so excited to share a recent family film I'm making for a family who live on a beautiful station up north. I love how unique country life is and how the wide open spaces give the film an epic feel. During our stay, the children gave us what is called the 'sunset tour. What an experience! 03.01.2022 With this film coming together I'm too excited not to share one of my favourite scenes. I know I'm creating something heartfelt when I get teary editing. This is my longest film yet so stay tuned for the finished product.

03.01.2022 Frankie and I did our headshots yesterday. With different glasses and a new haircut, I figured it was time. I also did a 4 second moving portrait at the same time. On my website, when you hover over my photo, it comes to life. (Thanks Verve Design) I’m curious, would anyone else be interested in moving portraits provided alongside headshots? 02.01.2022 Someone asked me yesterday what my favourite type of shoot was and I've got to say, apart from families, I LOVE headshots. I have a few reasons why... I love meeting people. I love shooting in a controlled environment where I can really focus on showcasing the best of my subject. I love showing people that having your photo taken doesn't have to be a negative experience, it can actually be fun!... These headshots were take on the awesome team at Century 21 Aaron Moon Realty. 02.01.2022 As a photographer, it’s challenging existing in our families albums. We are always the one behind the camera. Setting something up on a tripod and using a timer isn’t always practical and it simply isn’t the same. So, when shooting for Honey I tried to really focus on her and capture her relationships with the kids. Honey has always taken my family photos which are my most valued possession, so it was nice to return the favour. 02.01.2022 International Women's Day - Today I reflect on how far we've come and look forward to how far we have to go.
