When your children or students can build CVC words with ease it is time to mov...e on to manipulate words Delete a sound Add a sound Substitute a sound Discuss patterns Key skills needed to become an expert fluent reader. A movable alphabet is a really effective tool that all children can use to see how the sounds and letters connect to build words. Phoneme manipulation is crucial. Active playful learning and repetition is so much more fun than any worksheet and just 10 minutes a day can make a real difference. See more

23.01.2022 It has been a busy day! My morning started with a 7am Writing Revolution session delivered by trainers from the USA. Then I delivered a training course on Assistive Technology to fabulous teachers from Pennant Hills Public School. This was all followed by an afternoon of teaching my fabulous students at Hills Literacy and Learning...still going! #passion

20.01.2022 I think we can safely say that fun was had by all at our (early) HLL team Christmas gathering. Thanks to Metre Boards for our feast and Pinot & Picasso Rouse Hill for our (non-competitive??) activity. 2020 has been a year for the record books and I absolutely could not have made it without every one of these amazing, inspiring ladies
