25.01.2022 Joe did a one-day workshop to make this amazing nakiri for his daughter out of high carbon steel. Copper guard and spacers with buffalo horn and dyed spalted sassafras. Chop chop.

23.01.2022 We make all our own glazes here at Hill Street Shed and this pink was quite some time in the making!! I think the final colour took me 7 attempts.... I’m not a quitter it was all worth it though, it’s gorgeous and I’ll be splashing it around quite a bit I think

19.01.2022 Warren made an amazing knife during our most recent 2-day workshop. A full-tang Damascus santoku with a pink gum handle.

17.01.2022 A 6 inch (150mm in the new money) Deba just finished for a commission. 50 layers of twisted Damascus steel, copper shiny bits and red mallee handle. Deliciously slicey.

14.01.2022 If you’ve ever been in the shed trying to have a quiet pottery session you’ll know why I’m so excited about these!!! Sharing space with an noisy knife maker will now be a (quiet) breeze!!

11.01.2022 Kev was either exceedingly happy with the knife he made in one of our workshops, or he failed to realise it has a rather pointy bit at one end. 160 layers of twisted Damascus steel, buffalo horn spacer and gidgee handle.

10.01.2022 We opened the kiln this morning and - wow lots of lovelies!! Kiln firing can be tricky so when it all goes well, happy days!!
