04.01.2022 Good morning, Just staying ahead of the rumourmongers of our district. There has been no new cases of Covid -19 reported in our district as of today. The status... remains the same as yesterday which is pleasing. What is not pleasing heading into Easter but what we must now do as a matter of extreme importance is stay home unless attending to ESSENTIAL MATTERS. Our Premier and Chief Health Officer is urging all Queenslanders to stay home this Easter long weekend for very good reason. That is to minimize the potential for the spread of the virus. Evidence is now available to show that in other countries and regions, holidays have led to a spike in the number of positive cases. We must not undo what we have achieved so far through social distancing and by eliminating non-essential travel. Our health authorities are clear in their message that now is not the time for road trips, recreation and holidays. People must stay at home unless there is an essential need for them to go out. And in the words of Premier Palaszczuk ,you must stay in your own village. Driving 100klm throughout the region purportedly for essential activity is not actually essential unless unavoidable(ie:visiting specialist medical services). Police are actively policing the social distancing and essential travel requirements and I would not like to see any of our community fined for breaching these directives. If you are unsure of the actual directives, then simply google Home Confinement Directive and Non essential business directive for clarity. Just as sure as the sun rising each morning, if we do not observe the directives in place, we risk more stringent regulation being imposed which will make our situation even harder then you feel it is now. For instance our beaches remain open for essential exercise purposes but yet we see beaches at The Gold Coast being closed because people are not doing the right thing. Lets not risk any further restriction in our community by ensuring we all do the right thing. Right here and now we must be vigilant. It needs to be done. WE are a very vulnerable community given our age demographic and we all need to do our bit to protect our community. Thank you for your assistance.

02.01.2022 You have to be in it to win it...Make sure you go and see the team at Cignall Ingham today.
