24.01.2022 Thank you for everyone's interest in the exciting development at Hinchinbrook Harbour. The re-dredging of the marina consists of various stages in development. Our engineers are working closely with council to ensure all requirements and standards are met. The initial stage involves constructing a sediment control dam to protect the water quality of the Hinchinbrook Passage. Works on the dam have commenced today!

We can fish and catch crabs from our pontoon, it is indeed a fishing mecca, particu...larly for barramundi. The Hinchinbrook Channel is a spectacular waterway with predominately flat water, even on windy days. In the surrounding areas we can visit waterfalls, swim in the rainforest, bushwalk & golf. Our hub is the tropical, all white, plantation style restaurant and bar which is located in the heart of the estate, on the marina. There are many interesting people who live here and with our meaningful friendships, we have a deep sense of community. Several residents have told us they searched and searched before finding this jewel. Without a doubt, there is nowhere else like it on the East Coast of Australia." 22.01.2022 An update on the dredging progress. The large excavator is now on site with the dozer and other machinery, forming the dredge ponds to allow dredging to begin. Once the dredge ponds are complete, the excavator will be converted to the dredge unit and recovery unit. This is an exciting step towards reinstating the Marina!
