17.01.2022 Over 2.62 tonnes of rubbish has been removed by Hindmarsh Island Landcare Group around Sugars Beach and the Murray Mouth lookout. This was funded through a grant from the Coca-cola Foundation and Landcare Australia. The rubbish includes canes and plastic guards used to protect new plants; cans, bottles, car tyres & furniture. A recent display in Alexandrina Council Library, with support from Fleurieu Waste & Recycling, shows the divesity of the rubbish collected.
