20.01.2022 TEENAGE GIFT DRIVE - Let's Give Everyone a Christmas Can you help? Gift distribution starts on Monday the 10th of December (Yes, next Monday) and we are short 1...50 teen gift packages. Each package costs $35. but you can donate all or a portion of this, everything counts towards giving someone a better Christmas. Details for donating can be found in the comments. These Gift Packages include two movie tickets to use along with two vouchers for the ‘Snack Bar’. The young people who receive these are then able to join their friends, find some quiet time or treat a family member to an outing. NAIDOC in the North will be a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through art & craft workshops, songs, stories, dance and ceremony, featuring free and fun activities for the whole family. This year, the community are coming together to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander wo...men mothers, Elders, grandmothers, aunties, sisters, daughters, colleagues and friends and the often unacknowledged contributions they make to our lives. 17.01.2022 Thank you to all the amazing families, organisations, volunteers and students that came to our World's Biggest Playgroup yesterday to help make it such a wonder...ful success. It was fabulous to witness so many smiling faces, so many engaged children and so many families playing, learning, making friends and having fun. Please note, we have a Paint and Play at Holt (where our World'd Biggest Playgroup was held) every Tuesday from 10am - 11:30 so it would be fabulous to see many of you there each week. 04.01.2022 HIPPY Belconnen is now enrolling! If you know a family in the Belconnen region who has a child starting PRE SCHOOL in 2020 (Kindergarten in 2021), let them know about HIPPY. A 2yr educational enrichment program to help children get an early love of learning and empower parents to be engaged in that learning.... You get: A Home Tutor (who has done HIPPY) to support and guide you through the program. 45 activity booklets over the two years. A HIPPY Box full of stationery. Knowledge about children's development and learning. Opportunities to come to parent groups with guest speakers and enrichment topics.
