09.01.2022 I have just received an email that may be of interest to some. 22 August 2020 Jeremy Rockliff, Minister for Trade Seeking interest in a Tasmanian branded Amazon marketplace Tasmanian businesses are being encouraged to express their interest in the potential establishment of a Tasmanian branded marketplace on global e-commerce giant Amazon.... A new Tasmanian-only sales platform would help local businesses promote their products through the Tasmanian reputation for quality and find new customers and markets on the worlds biggest e-retailer. Amazon Australia has only been established for three years and yet already generates more than $500 million in revenue each year and presents significant opportunities for Tasmanian businesses who operate locally but seek to expand supply nationally. We are now seeking local businesses to take part in a full feasibility study, to finalise a business case to provide proof of concept that a Tasmanian branded marketplace will be a profitable sales channel for Tasmanian operators. Tasmanian businesses wanting to get in on the ground floor of this new online platform can lodge an expression of interest to be a part of the feasibility study. Amazon specialist agency Podean has been engaged to assist us to complete the feasibility study and they may seek more information from registered operators to build the business case for the Tasmanian Amazon marketplace. The Tasmanian Amazon marketplace is an initiative of the Tasmanian Trade Strategy and Interim Trade Action Plan and participation in this feasibility stage will be at no cost to participating businesses. We recognise that trade is vital in the recovery of our economy following the impacts of COVID-19 and we will continue to support our local exporting businesses during the recovery phase. To register your interest go to www.stategrowth.tas.gov.au/business/trade or call 1800 440 026. Kind Regards, Kate Kate Keenan Adviser Office of the Hon Roger Jaensch MP See more

Dear Historical Machinery Enthusiast, We hope you are keeping well during these unprecedented times. We just wanted to update you on the preparations for the rally. The committee is keen to proceed with the rally, so every effort is being made to comply with any COVID guidelines. Of course, none of us have a crystal ball so we can't be 100% sure the rally will eventuate or what modifications will be required to the set-up of the event. For now, however, we're encouraging anyone interested in attending to get their bookings in ASAP. We only have a small number of bookings so far and the event will not be viable unless we receive adequate bookings by the cut-off date. Be assured that if the event is cancelled due to COVID, we will provide 100% refunds of exhibitor fees/camping fees etc. We can't speak for the private accommodation providers though, so it is best to check with them yourself. If you have already booked and paid, thank you very much. If not, please try to do so soon! For more information and to book, go to: https://www.arec.com.au/nhma2021/
