25.01.2022 Todays #HistoryHolidaySnaps come from Valencia, Spain. The Water Tribunal of Valencia (Tribunal de la Aguas) is a weekly customary court held publicly in Spain, responsible for settling disputes related to irrigation waters. Democratic decision making in action. A short but fascinating spectacle! A must-see!... http://www.valencia-cityguide.com//valencia-water-court.ht

18.01.2022 This is a fascinating project that shows how disciplines in Science and HASS work together to build our understanding of Ancient Australia.

17.01.2022 Museums are incredible places to visit and many students have undertaken a school excursion to a museum. But have you considered using this opportunity to discuss who owns history? Or the role of empires, the impact of decolonisation, concepts of rights and freedoms? This Vox report looks at the arguments for and against returning cultural artefacts.

10.01.2022 Todays #HistoryHolidaySnaps are brought to you from the album of a HTAWA member taken on 5th July 2010 in sunny London. Jeremy Benthams work has been highly influential and continues to be so. As an advocate for education for all, its very fitting to begin our virtual history holiday with a trip to his auto-icon. Please send us your snaps!

He was also a great supporters of teachers. He has a number of TED Talks that are humorous and insightful.

02.01.2022 Fantastic attendance at the Professional Learning session for teachers today. How brilliant to see so many teachers give one of their precious holiday days to acquiring more knowledge and sharing ideas on how to teach the content for Units 2 and 4 Modern History and Ancient History sources and course changes. Knowledge is power and teachers do make a difference and the more content we know the better we can teach and prepare the students to acquire the result that will lead them to success. Thank you to all the presenters. Your time and commitment in preparing and delivering the PL is much appreciated by all.
