09.01.2022 On November 9-10 1938, the authorities looked on but did nothing as SA paramilitary forces and civilians launched a vicious pogrom against Jews across Germany. ...Jewish homes, Synagogues, hospitals and schools were attacked, ransacked and set on fire. In all, 267 Synagogues were destroyed, along with over 7,000 Jewish businesses. Hundreds of innocent Jews were murdered. Over 30,000 Jewish men were rounded up and sent to concentration camps. On November 11 1938, The Times (London) published the following: 'No foreign propagandist bent on blackening Germany before the world could outdo the tales of burnings and beatings, of blackguardly assaults on defenceless and innocent people, which disgraced that country yesterday.' Kristallnacht was but a prelude of what was to come - The Holocaust, the slaughter of 6 million innocents, murdered simply because they were Jewish. Baruch Dayan Ha'Emet. May their memory be a blessing. See more
