25.01.2022 The first two rooms of a full 4 bedroom house repaint are done and back to the client. Nice neutral colours make the room a lot larger than previous colour scheme.

25.01.2022 Today we were given the green light to block off the sports courts at Burke Ward Primary School and repaint all the lines using our new graco linemarking machine. It’s a walk in the park now with this machine and we are starting to get it set up with good accuracy. Soon we will be at the Railwaytown Primary School and this will be all new bitumen which will be great to see how it turns out.

20.01.2022 Another job we have had on the go over the last couple of days is the Alma School Canteen 4 different colours was a challenge but now that it’s all done it makes a big focus point for the kids and the canteen. Thanks for the opportunity Alma P&C for contacting and allowing HJS Painting to complete this project for a great school.

19.01.2022 As we near the end of another financial year it also marks a couple of big birthdays. 1. This year is the 20th year since I first started the painting apprenticeship, lots of ups and downs of course I doo some flack about being a painter but I still genuinely enjoy it and have no lack of motivation. 2. At the end of June 2010 I made the decision to Start my own business HJS Painting & Decorating.... So the business now has been operating for 10years and continues to get stronger as we grow more experienced. I can always hear the old saying in my head it takes 10years to be a overnight success and it’s very accurate. I thank all current and any previous clients and staff each one has had a part of HJS Painting growth and wouldn’t be where the business is today with out everyone’s support. 18.01.2022 Today we have started a different project with repainting Kitchen/Laundry & Toilet including kitchen Cupboards Benchtops Splashbacks tiles and floors. It’s going to be a big change once finished so took a couple of before shots.

16.01.2022 Big couple of days line marking this basketball/Netball court at railwaytown primary school wasn’t easy to mark out as the basketball rings were not straight inline but we did the best we could and client and principal were very happy with the outcome.

14.01.2022 Another job completed yesterday was the BHBS new shop,it looks great with Dulux Capital Blue on the walls. Need a hair cut go see Shelby.

09.01.2022 The Kitchen Laundry Bathroom & Toilet repaint is now complete and must admit it’s a huge transformation for the client and very happy with the final finish. We painted Cupboards Splashbacks, Benchtops, tiles and baths, it was a lengthy prep as everything had to be washed twice, primer applied than approx 5 coats of paint. We followed the step by step instructions of Dulux Renovation range and the product looks to be far advanced of previous products on the market.... We now move on to a full inside of a 4 bedroom house and also one of the largest repaints of a external of a house I have ever done in my 20 years painting. Busy times but very grateful of the opportunities we receive from our clients.

09.01.2022 We have been very busy repainting buildings at the Menindee Central School, we have been given a tight time frame on this one only 6 weeks to do a large amount of work but we are almost finished our second week and progressing well. I must thank my crew that are working hard away from there families during the week not one complaint makes it easy to keep progressing through the work. Thanks to redsands takeaway for looking after us with fresh lunches each day Burke & Wills fo...r the accomodation and Maidens for a cold beer and meal after a hard days work. Accept the challenge and keep working towards a successful completion.

08.01.2022 HJS Painting taking on a Acratex Texture Coating project installing Blueboard, Flushing of joints and a full Acratex Texture System with a 15year warranty. Only the Acrashield Coat to go looking good so far.

07.01.2022 Remarking the Basketball/Netball court for Menindee Central School

06.01.2022 Unfortunately recently my first full time employee in Broken Hill Troy, had a accident at home a few months ago resulting in him being flown to Adelaide and required a operation on his neck. It was a serious injury and he is slowly recovering now back in Broken Hill but returning to work is a long while off and may never be possible at this stage. While we will have our fingers crossed for him to one day hopefully return at some capacity we today agreed it’s time we both mov...e forward. I owe a lot to Troy he came on board just as I started to experience some growth in Broken Hill and he had just started taking on a supervisor role with helping me train my apprentices before his Accident. He always had a yarn about something making laughter on a regulars basis and I must admit it feels like he knows almost everyone locally in Broken Hill or Wilcannia. On behalf of HJS Painting we all wish you the best and you will always be welcome back should the timing ever be right.
