19.01.2022 **IMPORTANT NEWS** It is very pleasing to see that the Painting & Decorating Industry will be included in Stage 2 of the Registration/Licensing of finishing tra...des in the construction industry. The Master Painters Association for many years has sought to have our trade licensed. This will give young people completing their qualifications through TAFE a fairer platform through which they can enter into the industry and obtain long term employment. It will also give consumers the opportunity to see that all painting contractors they approach have the qualifications required for the job. Although we are in Stage 2 (2022-2023) this will be a good opportunity for Painters to bring their qualifications up to standard. This is great news for the Painting & Decorating industry, the consumers and employers/employees.
