25.01.2022 Happy hump-day everyone! Throw back to the one day pre-lockdown when our team had a super chilled mulled wine day to warm up during chilly Melbourne winter. 23.01.2022 Today we’re highlighting one of our long time photographer Hsyin Harman (Sam). For the past 7 years he has been a gun and one of our MVP. Before photography became his mojo, Sam was an art teacher - teaching drawing and painting at a secondary school in Turkey. He started photographing as a hobby 9 years ago to express his creative vision in painting pictures using his camera. After 2 years being a hobbyist, he decided to turn his passion into a professional gig and started ...working with HM Photos. Photography is like meditation where he can find himself immersed in his creative vision and shoot for hours on end. His inspiration comes from nature, playing with textures and capturing the perfect light and colours. Being an active and energetic person, he enjoys moving around to capture different angles and discover interesting perspective. In his spare time, he can often be found painting, nature walking, and going on road trips with music in full blast. Sam is looking forward to working on new projects with us in the coming weeks as our business pivots and churn new products to our offering. 14.01.2022 Introducing Marjan Stojkovski Marjan is a photographer who has been a part of our HM family for nearly 18 years. He has a warm soul and enjoys taking selfies with people he meets. Working as a photographer is more than taking beautiful pictures, it is about connecting with people helping them feel comfortable in front of the camera and taking a nice smile. He views photography to be a language of communicating with the light. Different lighting technique can evoke emotions... and add dramatic flair to images. Marjan studied Visual Arts, Painting and Drawing at RMIT. His favorite genre is fine arts photography and landcape. We love having Marjan in the team and look forward in continuing to work with this amazing man for another 18 years and beyond.

11.01.2022 Meet Bruce Laverty. Bruce has been part of our HM team for 18 years, working as a photographer, in management and operations. During this time Bruce started his own business specialising in underwater photography and has been operational for 6 years. For more information please visit bubblepics.com.au... Bruce’s interest in viewing everyday subjects from a different perspective has lead him to explore and experiment with a style called ICM (intentional camera movement)involving camera movement whilst employing slow or long exposures. Bruce’s fascination with finding the wow factor in his work is driven by influences such as Max Dupain, Bill Henson, Henry Catier Bresson, Peter Lik. When Bruce is not photographing one would be able to find him camping, bushwalking and kayaking. We love having Bruce in the team and look forward to working with him for at least another 18 years.

04.01.2022 This week we're introducing Nyssa Link. I started with HM Photos in 2018 as an in-house Graphic Designer and Photographer. After working a few years in customer service, I decided to pursue my passion in creative visual arts and purchased a DSLR camera as a gift for myself when I landed my first design client. I was a member of photography club in high school and a creative hobby was what I need to keep creative juices flowing. Before I know it, this hobby grew to intertwine... with my work creating artworks for Melbourne’s female musicians and recording artists. I’m now running a freelance practice specialising in portrait / lifestyle / elopement photography, website and digital design for creative professionals.
