25.01.2022 Where were you? A big shout out to our Hobsons Bay volunteers who were deployed to help the local communities affected by this event.

25.01.2022 In the early hours of this morning, our volunteers were called to respond to reports of a tree down causing a traffic hazard in Altona Meadows. Working with Hobsons Bay City Council our volunteers made quick work of the fallen tree branch to restore access to the road. Big thank-you to our volunteers for waking up extra early this morning! Thanks also to Victoria Police for providing traffic control until our volunteers and HBCC arrived on scene.

23.01.2022 Due to the nature of COVID-19, in recent times we’d taken a break from face-to-face skills maintenance and training to focus only on responding to emergencies. From this week, you might see us back out undertaking training in small groups to ensure we have the essential skills and capability required to respond to an emergency. Emergency services as a permitted industry are able to conduct critical training and exercising under the directions, as endorsed by the Victorian Chi...ef Health Officer. Our crews are following all the COVIDSafe principles, wearing masks and working hard to ensure we are there for our Hobsons Bay community. Thank you

06.01.2022 Our volunteers were called out again this afternoon to assist a member of the community in Newport after a tree fell on a vehicle. Big thanks to our volunteers, and Hobsons Bay City Council for their assistance! For emergency assistance with flood or storm damage call the State Emergency Service on 132 500.

06.01.2022 Yesterday there was an earthquake in Victoria. Did you know that SES is also the control agency for Earthquakes!

06.01.2022 Hobsons Bay SES have been out and about over the last 15 hrs. We started at 11:00pm last night with a flooded garage. Our crew responded to help. 06:00 am our next crew was called out for a leaking roof and they then continue on to three more calls for cracked and moved roof tiles causing soggy ceilings. Remember if you are cleaning out your gutters, to check your roof for cracked and damaged tiles and roof pointing. Getting this fixed early will prevent more damage later on. #safercommunities #SaferTogether #vicses #hobsonsbayses
