17.01.2022 Thanks to all our members for your continued support over the past months. We are so happy to be open again and seeing toys head out the doors. Very happy member shared... ‘My kids have literally not played with anything else since I brought this home yesterday. 12.01.2022 Now that we've reopened we really need the help of members to book in for your Roster Duty hours. Tasks will include sorting, checking returned toys & returning toys to shelves. COVIDSafe plan is in place. Members who volunteer before the end of the year will receive a $10 fuel voucher. Newport volunteer hours are Saturday 8:30 - 10:30 am or 10:30 am - 12:30 pm.... Laverton volunteer hours are Saturday 10 am - 12 midday. Take a look & book your timeslot to borrow or return toys at Newport and Laverton branches from this Saturday! 06.01.2022 It's almost the weekend!!! We are open again tomorrow for Book & Browse!! If you have a return only, no need to book. Just come in & drop your items at the door!! Below are some reminders of our guidelines:... Cleaning: All members have the responsibility to clean toys before returning. Wipe thoroughly with pH neutral detergent (most dishwashing detergent) or spray a 2-in-1 cleaner/disinfectant (most multipurpose sprays) onto a cloth until it is damp & wipe down toy. Use an old toothbrush or cotton bud to get into the hard to reach spots. Allow to dry before returning to their bag. Full cleaning recommendations are available at the bottom of the Members page including tips for different types of toys. https://hobsonsbaytoylibrary.org.au/members Register: Upon arrival we will need to take some contact details and keep a register of all persons entering the toy library as per Department of Health guidelines for contact tracing. Use hand sanitiser as you enter. Wear a mask. Maintain physical distancing of 1.5 metres. Limited numbers of members will be allowed to enter so you may need to wait in the foyer or outside until someone leaves.
