18.01.2022 Samuel McPaul, a volunteer firefighter with the Morven Rural Fire Brigade was tragically killed while on duty at the Green Valley fireground, east of Albury. Samuel, 28, leaves behind his beautiful wife, Megan, an animal reproduction expert at Holbrook Vet Centre, who is pregnant with their first child, due in May. The NSW RFS has created a dedicated bank account to collect donations to help provide for Samuel and Megan's baby's future. 07.01.2022 Sam McPaul’s funeral will be held at the Holbrook Sports Stadium at 10 am Friday the 17th of January. It is with heavy hearts that we send our deepest condolences to Sam’s wife Megan, his Mum Cris and those lucky enough to have known Sam closely, as they farewell him tomorrow. Megan is such a vital part of the HVC family and her loss of Sam is felt by all of us.... RFS members and other emergency workers are asked to wear full operational uniform with medals and those who shared Sam’s love of basketball are asked to wear their favourite jersey to commemorate his passion. Those who would like to form a guard of honour at the end of the service are asked to attend the stadium at 9.15am for a run-through of proceedings. Participation in the guard of honour is open to everyone. We would also like to take this time to thank those who have already donated and remind you of the dedicated bank account created by the NSW RFS to collect donations to help provide for Sam and Megan's baby's future.
