22.01.2022 Dear members and friends, The continuing increase of COVID-19 within the community makes it necessary for the Holden 4WD Club of SA to go into recess until it is safe to resume its activities. This means all meetings, including the AGM, will be cancelled until further notice and all trips, including Christmas in July will be postponed.... It is important for us to keep in touch, so please continue to share your stories and progress through this crisis by sending items through to the Secretary for distribution, via email, to everyone else. Above all, please stay safe by being careful.

22.01.2022 Club trip to Peake SA, July 2019

20.01.2022 Last Monday saw the club Christmas BBQ for 2019. We even had a special guest.

19.01.2022 Several club members recently enjoyed the history tour of the Old Adelaide Goal. Our tour guide was very informative and interesting with his knowledge of the every day running of the prison and the people that were incarcerated there. The Adelaide Goal was built in 1841 and in the 148 years it was used as a prison there were 300,000 prisoners. One of the more interesting prisoners was Elizabeth Woolcock who was executed on 30 December 1873 at the age of 25 for the murder of her husband.

18.01.2022 To all of our members that fly drones, the laws are changing. Drones under 250g or that only fly indoors will not need to be registered and no pilot certification is required. Drones over 250g and under 2kg, that currently do not need to be registered will soon need to be registered. Pilots will also need to pass an exam showing they know and understand the laws in regards to flying drones. So if you want to avoid the registration fees and the pilot certification, the DJI M...ini drone is a good choice at only 249g, 2.7K camera and DJI quality. More information regarding the law changes can be found here: https://www.casa.gov.au/drones/register

08.01.2022 Last night was supposed to be the Stockport Observatory trip, however the weather gods were not on our side. We left it up to each member that nominated as to whether they still wanted to attend. For the 2 members that did, it was a total cloud over, so unfortunately nothing was seen. We are rescheduling the trip to align with the Feburary Public viewing night.
