23.01.2022 Yesterday we wrapped up our first ever Birth Mama Yoga course with the beautiful vocals and sound healing of the gorgeous @laural.furze What a way to finish off what has been an incredible five weeks. I’ve just been to watch the incredible documentary Birth Time which looks at our current maternity care system in Australia, and EVERYONE, not just pregnant women but everyone, needs to see this. Powerful, insightful, and revolutionising, it is not to be missed. As a Doula, mother, and pregnant woman, I feel even more empowered and encouraged in the fight for women’s basic human rights in childbirth, because as they state in this doco, birth is a human rights issue.... 12.01.2022 Another fantastic class today at Birth Mama Yoga, this time focusing on pain in labour and how we can work with it, looking at both natural and medical pain relief options. We also looked at some important birth & labouring positions to give your body it’s best chance when it’s time for baby to arrive.
