17.01.2022 A worthwhile cause... This lil guy is a champion on our home island. To afford an assistant dog on the island is a great feat in itself, as the island has No Dog policy. Luke is Autistic, and in this isolated unique part of the world, his hardworking family have done amazing things to ensure his acceptance and education of his condition to our small community. Help Luke get his Mans best Friend to the island by donating to this worthwhile cause...

06.01.2022 If you cant find a reason in this list to visit our Beautiful Christmas Island.... then its not an adventure you should take.

06.01.2022 Im still trying to figure out why West Australia is promoting Cheap Indonesian Island Tourism when they have their own Beautiful Islands they could promote. Christmas Island & Cocos Keeling. Not only are these islands a Part of Western Australia, their climate is constant 27+ degrees year round, as is the clear blue waters beaming with endemic tropical fish right up to the shoreline. The diving here (weather scuba or free diving) offers the most amazing drop offs and sealife.... Fishing in the oceans around the islands, either from boat, jetty or shore you can catch the BIG one that doesnt get away. The treks to many hidden and hard to reach beaches, inlets and caves are extreme in themselves. Fighting through the tangle of jungle vines, clambering volcanic rocks, avoiding the myriad of crabs along the way, ending up in a spot where the waterfalls wash over you, the sea laps your feet, the mangroves canopy leaves you in awe. You can truly escape, and even get lost (you need to trek with a GPS tracker available from our local police station). An ornithologists paradise with endemic bird life, the soaring Golden Bosuns, Booby birds, terradactyl like frigates, and hundreds more. No where else in the world can you experience all this in one week, in one place, because the island is only 35 square kilometres. Its basic living here, where the nightlife is renogated to neighbourhood BBQs, Pool Hall, outdoor cinema showing the latest movies for $5 a seat and a snack bar with the best choc bombs. The one pub, Golden Bosun with its open decking and great Tucker, play a game of pool (free) and join the locals watching The Game on telly. Youll find something to do everynight, Fishing off the Jetty, snorkelking in the warm waters, BBQ at Flying Fish Cove or Being invited to the many events run by locals. Yes... All of this on West Australian doorstep.

06.01.2022 When is the best time to visit Christmas Island? Whenever YOU have the time, because its 28 degrees here all year round with crystal clear tropical water.
