25.01.2022 Here's three more sneaky thank you shots. We truly are grateful to God for the weather change and for all of you who came out. Great crowd, great carols and a great expression of our community enjoying it all on the lawn. I'm thankful and proud of the NewLife team who planned it, played it, sang it, and pulled it all together - you guys did an amazing job. Thanks Oran Park - look forward to seeing you all again next year!

23.01.2022 Hey Oran Park, were not stopping yet! The contingency plan is to hold the Carols on the lawn out the front of our church (NewLife Anglican : Oran Park) which is directly across the road from Gardner Reserve. At this stage weather permitting were planning to have our free kids fun stuff set up, our sound, and amazing Carols. Heres a very clunky video telling you the same thing Question away below, and follow the page to stay in touch - wed love to see you and will do all we can to make the event still happen. At NewLife Anglican : Oran Park our Carols band is warming up and getting ready for a great night. We're thankful for our wonderful sponsors this year without whom the event couldn't come to you free of charge. Please note that there are two opportunities to support local organisations - the Cobbitty Rural Fire Brigade (who we've supported every year of the Carols will be... there with their trucks) and Turning Point Camden Inc. who you'll be able to support by bringing along a can of food for their community pantry. Bring on the 21st and don't forget to tag a friend you're inviting, Stuart (on behalf of the organising team). 20.01.2022 Today is the day! Were getting our band warmed up and we cant wait to see you today from 5:30pm at Gardner Reserve in Oran Park. Dont forget theres stacks of free stuff for the kids including jumping castles, a kindy zoo, face painting, a climbing wall, and more. Our BBQ team are ready to serve you delicious sausages and icy cold drinks and we have a stack of amazing glow things you can light up your kids with! Well sing carols and conclude the night with a spectacular fireworks display - so join us! The big day has finally arrived :-)

19.01.2022 Not the night we all expected but a fabulous one anyway! Thanks to everyone who braved the weather, sung their hearts out, and stood with us on the hill to watch the fireworks. 18.01.2022 So theres one more sleep to go before our eighth annual Oran Park Community Carols. This year we wont be having fireworks but we will be taking up a collection for the RFS. At this stage they will have some personnel who are off duty on site so we can express our thanks and gratitude. So please come prepared to be generous when the time comes. As for everything else well be running our regular entertainment for kids including our climbing wall, jumping castles, craft tabl...e, and face painting - all for free. Well also have a great sausage sizzle going and glow products for the kids to buy when when it gets darker. The band has been practicing hard and sounds amazing so bring your singing voice as we prepare for a great night with all your favourites. At times like this its good to be together as community and we look forward to seeing you on the grass of Gardner Reserve from 5:30pm - at which stage we hope the day will be cooling off! 17.01.2022 Hey Oran Park, were still on! Were setting up at NewLife Anglican : Oran Park across the road from Gardner Reserve. The plan is to forge ahead setting everything up and if it rains then well head inside for a far more intimate setting Check back on the page through the day for details. FAQ: 1) yes were still on 2) yes the kids activities are still on from 5:30pm - free face painting, jumping castles, climbing wall and petting zoo. ... 3) yes there will be great Carols. Our bands are ready to go from about 7:30pm. 4) yes were still planning to have fireworks around 9:15pm weather permitting of course! 5) yes.. wed still love to see you :-) See more

16.01.2022 Only 2 Sleeps!! Join our Oran Park Christmas tradition, this Saturday 16th Dec at Gardner Reserve. Now in it's 6th year our Carols offers heaps of free entertainment for kids from 5:30pm including jumping castles, face painting, a climbing wall, RFS fire trucks, and a kiddy petting zoo. As well as all that there'll be an awesome band playing your favourite carols, a BBQ to feed the family and stacks of glow things to light up your kids. And of course we'll finish with our fireworks finale which is worth coming along for in its own right! So grab a friend, grab a rug, and come on down on Saturday!

13.01.2022 Well, thats pretty fun. The storm came! Well keep the Carols on tonight in the church - NewLife Anglican : Oran Park. So full Carols and cover band still happening - indoors. We still have great snags and glow things and were just crazy enough to keep the invitation open well start after 5:30pm with from Carols around 7ish.

12.01.2022 Our awesome stage is now up. The grass is drying and we are still all systems go love to see you here in the grounds of NewLife Anglican : Oran Park from 5:30pm.

12.01.2022 One of the joys of our Carols experience is the opportunity to take up a collection for the work of the local Cobbitty Rural Fire Brigade. This year I'm delighted to say that through your generosity together we raised $1300 which will go towards their new training rooms. As well as passing on the thanks of the Brigade I'm reminded to let people know that the Cobbitty Brigade is looking for new members. Can be ladies or gents 18 years or older. 11.01.2022 Morning Oran Park, Were looking forward to our 8th annual Oran Park Community Carols next Saturday night (Dec 21st) up at Gardner Reserve. As we continue to prepare for the event were aware that some concerns have been raised about the fireworks proposed for the night. Weve been speaking with Deputy Captain of the Cobbitty RFS who will be there on Saturday (unless the local situation demands otherwise). In consultation with them weve come up with a plan to defer approval... to them entirely - and in their absence have none at all. Of course, if theres a total fire ban no fireworks will be launched. If there isnt a total ban on the night *their team* will assess the site and advise us whether they believe we should go ahead or not. So therell only be fireworks if its a safe night to do as determined by our local RFS and professional fireworks providers. All that being said, it should be a great night, heaps of free stuff for the kids to do, great carols, and the opportunity to generously support the RFS as we take up a collection for them - something weve been doing at the carols for the last 7 years straight. And because we often dont have heaps of cash on hand, therell even be an option to add a dollar for the RFS as you tap and go for your sausage or drinks. Weve also prepared a Thank you RFS card that you might like to have your kids colour in before the night so that they can hand it to the RFS at their trucks on the ground. 10.01.2022 1 sleep to go :-) We live in the same neighbourhood you do and last night was .. a little damp! The best way to stay up to date with what's happening with the Carols this year is to 'like' the page and stay tuned. Apologies if that's as much a disappointment to your little ones as it is to us - we want what's best for the animals and so we understand their choice. In other news there's a breeze on the field, the climbing wall will be in action and so will the jumping castles and face painting.. and the band sounds great! Look forward to seeing you soon.
