23.01.2022 Here's a cool video of a very cool car. The "BERGSTEIGER E36" built by BimmerWorld. We wanted to post this video for a lot of reasons, clearly we enjoy being involved with lots of customers around the world, supplying transmissions for all kinds of cars. But as we supplied BMW officially for their World Touring Car effort in the 90's with the E36, the model has a special place for us, so seeing our latest transaxle go into this car is really cool. Whilst it has a front engin...e, this car features a rear mounted MXT Transaxle with the Clutch, Starter Motor & Alternator mounted to it, putting as much of the weight as we could to the rear of the car. It is pneumatically shifted so note how nice & quick the gear changes are and also how quiet the gearbox is considering it has straight cut gears and is mounted under the camera. When a car is put together as well as this car is, it's great to see our product working in perfect harmony with it. #holinger #mxt #e36 #transaxle #paddleshift

22.01.2022 Attention SR20 fans!: Here's a new adaption we have designed to allow the HZF gearbox to bolt up to a Nissan SR20. It uses the Automatic SR20 Bellhousing and a Holinger Clutch-Release-System. Classes that require a H-Pattern Gearbox are well suited to this, with the HZF being an H-pattern 5-speed available with custom ratios, 1:1 5th-gear or 1:1 4th-gear and an Over-Drive. 20.01.2022 Before we get too carried away with the world of high-tech open-wheelers at the AGP this weekend, take a look at Larry Perkins driving the freshly restored PE041 he last drove at Bathurst in 2003. We’ve been really stoked to help Jack and Larry out with several gearbox rebuilds for cars Perkins Engineering have been restoring of late, so seeing LP get out there and drive this one like he’s barely been away is awesome. As we’ve said before, we do miss the H-Pattern like many of you do and it doesn’t get much better than watching Larry use one.

18.01.2022 Our good mate Jack Perkins got to sample an S5000 last Friday at the Island, we told him he should have a go last year and after this little session it looks as though he might be keen for more! It's great to see some cars running again after the Covid lock-down, the S5000 series will be hitting the track for it's belated first round in mid-August at Sydney Motorsport Park. We can't wait!

16.01.2022 Blast from the past! Today we finished off a proper, period-correct H6S-DVM gearbox, which was a prototype of sorts for the Bathurst 24-Hour winning Holden Monaro built by Garry Rogers Motorsport. GRM are building a 3rd car currently to honour the original 2 pictured and commissioned us to make the gearbox just as it was back in 2002/3. The H6S-DVM gearbox was crossed between the V8 Supercar unit of the time and the Dodge Viper Sequential gearboxes we were also producing for GT racing. Essentially a prototype/precursor to the RD6 which we still produce regularly today......#bathurst24 #monaro #GRM

14.01.2022 SON OF A GUN - TIM MACROW Today's featured second-gen S5000 driver is Tim Macrow, son of Peter Macrow who was one of the most successful Australian open wheel r...acers of the 1970s and 1980s. Peter's career achievements included multiple race wins and series runner-up titles in Formula 2, and a race win in the 1985 Australian Drivers Championship. With Tim also being an ADC race winner as well as a two-time champion, the Macrows are one of only four father-son combinations to have won races for the Motorsport Australia Gold Star. Peter is one of the Holden Dealer Team's first ever drivers - he finished sixth for the HDT in the 1969 Bathurst 500 - and recorded two Australian Grand Prix starts in the Formula Pacific era. Today, Peter maintains a watchful, supporting presence in Tim's garage at S5000 events, while elder son Adam is the 1998 Australian Formula Ford Champion and a Bathurst 1000 podium finisher.
