19.01.2022 Next Sunday, the sermon is on Psalm 12- "When what is vile is honoured among men".

19.01.2022 Related to the Psalm 13 sermon from last Sunday is this poem: I asked for strength that I might achieve; He made me weak that I might obey. I asked for health that I might do great things;... He gave me grace that I might do better things. I asked for riches that I might be happy; He gave me poverty that I might be wise. I asked for power that I might have the praise of men; He gave me weakness that I might feel a need of God. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life; He gave me life that I might enjoy all things. I received nothing I had asked for; He gave me all that I had hoped for.

09.01.2022 There are two of us on the HTK Team as paid staff, in partnership with our volunteers. Gordon & I, together with our wives, have just returned from overseas mission trips. Gordon was in Sabah, Malaysia, teaching theology to indigenous leaders. I was in Costa Rica leading a Chaplaincy Gathering for the Christian Surfers International team of Chaplains who serve the Association of Surfing Professionals & the International Surfing Association. Much to debrief about with our HTK church members. Gordon & I are thankful for HTK releasing us for these global mission opportunities.
