09.01.2022 This colourful and elaborate talk by Steve Ray provides a good insight in today's Gospel.

08.01.2022 The Church has always venerated the divine Scriptures just as she venerates the body of the Lord, since, especially in the sacred liturgy, she unceasingly receives and offers to the faithful the bread of life from the table both of Gods word and of Christs body (Dei Verbum #21). Learn more about the great gift of the Word of God in this article from Deacon Mike Bickerstaff.

08.01.2022 "As a Baptist pastor, Michael Davis understood the need to feed the hungry, clothe the naked, and welcome the stranger, as commanded by Christ himself. But when he discovered Catholic Social Teaching, Michael found a whole new way to understand that performing works of mercy isnt just about meeting needs, but about cultivating a spirit of humility, love and service in the giver as well."

07.01.2022 Mass readings and psalms: First Reading: Ecclesiastus 27:30 - 28:7 "Forgive your neighbour the hurt he does you, and when you pray, your sins will be forgiven."... Responsorial Psalm: Ps 102: 1-4, 9-12 "The Lord is kind and merciful; slow to anger and rich in compassion." Second Reading: Romans 14:7-9 "if we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord" Gospel Acclamation: John 13:34 "Alleluia, alleluia! I give you a new commandment: love one another as I have loved you. Alleluia!" Gospel: Matthew 18:21-35 "Lord, how often must I forgive my brother if he wrongs me? As often as seven times? Jesus answered, Not seven, I tell you, but seventyseven times.'" Prayer for Spiritual Communion "My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. 03.01.2022 First Reading: Isaiah 56:1, 6-7 "Have a care for justice, act with integrity, for soon my salvation will come and my integrity be manifest." Responsorial Psalm: Ps 66:2-3, 5-6, 8 "O God, let all the nations praise you!"... Second Reading: Romans 11:13-15, 29-32 "God never takes back his gifts or revokes his choice." Gospel Acclamation: Matthew 4:23 "Alleluia, alleluia! Jesus preached the Good News of the kingdom and healed all who were sick. Alleluia!" Gospel: Matthew 15:21-28 "Woman, you have great faith. Let your wish be granted." Prayer for Spiritual Communion My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things, and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.
