10.01.2022 Today Anne Webster - Federal Member for Mallee welcomed the launch of the HeadtoHelp service in Mildura. The service, developed by Victorian Primary Health Net...works (PHNs), provides additional mental health support for people struggling with the impact of COVID-19, border closures and financial or personal issues. HeadtoHelp is free and open to people of any age, including children, young people and older adults. It is delivered locally by our clinicians and can also be accessed by people from border communities. HeadtoHelp offers mental health support, including to those experiencing addiction, families and carers, refugees and people of culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. It is even available to those who don't qualify for Medicare. To learn more visit HeadtoHelp or www.murrayphn.org.au/headtohelp/ No referral is required, simply HeadtoHelp by calling 1800 595 212 between 8.30am and 5pm, Monday to Friday (but not on public holidays). The sooner you HeadtoHelp the better you’ll feel. #sharethebear #HeadtoHelp Murray PHN

Initial...ly he had no need for an office or even a car, it was just him and his wheelbarrow. Since our story went to air a generous couple donated a ute to him. www.7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS

01.01.2022 Volunteers needed! We started doing this Conversation/reading Cafe class at the beginning of the year, it proved so popular because so needed! We have started 2... classes on Fridays again, one at 11am and one at 1.30pm with COVID restrictions in place. Could you spare 2 hours a week to enjoy a cuppa with new arrivals that want to improve their English? Conversation and reading practice for our diverse range of clients in a classroom/ cafe situation. Often, this may be the only chance that a refugee or immigrant may get to speak or read continuously each week. Invaluable learning and communicating to enhance all aspects of their formal English classes and life in Australia. If you can help- We would LOVE to hear from you. Please call/ text Danielle on 0490073371 to register your interest and fill in a volunteer form at SMECC or on our website. Thank you in advance for your support- it’ll be fun
