23.01.2022 Over the last few weeks I have had a few calls from parents looking at BYOD devices for their kids. If your student's school is an Education Queensland school, this is what I suggest you ask Harvey Norman for pricing on. I know they have them available in their business portal, however the store may need to order them in. I'm not sure if Betta has access to them, but it'd be worth asking: Acer TravelMate B117M-P Touch with 3 year Accidental Damage - Harvey's should be able to... do this for you for no more than $950, including the extra accidental damage insurance. Note: I have no commercial arrangement here, nor do I have the ability (sadly) to sell these - I'm just a parent who is also an IT guy that has worked in schools and done a LOT of research on this. On a second note, check with your kid's school to see if they have access to cheap/free versions of software (such as Microsoft Office). Let me know if you need any assistance

07.01.2022 So many scams getting around at the moment, here is another one: Be suspicious if a caller claims to be from the Australian Taxation Office & says you have a tax debt to pay immediately. It is probably a Tax Scam. To be safe, hang up & check with the ATO on 1800 008 540.
