21.01.2022 Homes of Hope International supports a number of children's homes in developing nations. We believe an orphanage is a last resort option, but sadly a necessary option for many children. In developing nations there are often no government organized foster care programmes. We are also aware that some orphanages are poorly managed, and some are fronts for other activities. We believe it is naive to suggest all orphanages should be closed and a better way forward should be found. HOHI has in place the 12 Essentials for Children's Homes and we are always seeking ways to raise standards. These essentials refer to the philosophy and guiding practices in esch project we support. We are also happy to provide training for other projects and are hopeful that governments will one day adopt similar standards with an accreditaion process.

19.01.2022 One of the girls in the HOHI Miraj project just graduated with a BA degree, and will pursue further study in fashion design. She has been in care for many years due to being at high risk. Following her mother's tragic death, she struggled for some time. Her destiny was poverty. She has a very promising future thanks to her HOHI sponsors. Well done Usha.

12.01.2022 We are so proud of Anesma who has been part of the Medan Indonesia children's home for 15 years. She has just graduated from Chefs school after 3 years of study and training!
