Homespun Festival is back, and we have a hand-picked selection of bands for your enjoyment, along with tasty food vans, vintage clothing stalls and a delicious onsite bar. Entry is on donation. Their original songs and tunes will take an audience from the fiddle’s melancholy to its energetic and highly infectious sounds! They showcase some of the richness and heritage of folk music from around the world... Final word: Mesmerising." - Rip It Up Magazine // GEORGE GLASS // Alternative funk rockers and theatre makers, George Glass' have performed in over 17 Fringe and Comedy festivals across Australia and the UK. Their hit comedy, Scientology The Musical was twice supported by the Made in Adelaide program to perform in the Edinburgh Fringe, where they performed to sold out houses. Their follow up show George Glass Proves The Existence of God received a comedy award at the Adelaide Fringe in 2019, and they are debuting ART ATTACK this year! "One of the most bizarre and utterly hilarious musical experiences I have ever witnessed" - Broadway Baby // NICE VERDES // These troubadours have been performing and travelling together since 2003. Drawing from the sounds of Cuba, Africa, Colombia, they play combinations of Cuban tres, accordions, guitar, harmonica and vocals. Inspired musically by their travels around the world (and playing festivals including Quadrapalooza and Edge of the World in Canada, and Encuentro Vallenato Femenino in Colombia), Nice Verdes have collaborated with artists from all countries, celebrating a strong sense of community and equality in diversity. // SASAMBA // Our favourite carnival party-starters are back! SaSamba are South Australia’s first community samba band, established to teach and showcase carnival and street music styles from Brazil and other parts of the world. Big beats and big fun! // CLIFTON ST. HOUSE BAND // The Homespun residents return with good vibes and good sounds to give you some tasty twists on a bunch of their favourite songs from Talking Heads to Janelle Monae! 17.01.2022 Hi Homespun friends - it’s forecasted to be 41 degrees this Sunday, so on the advice of the festival team and the supportive folk at City of Prospect, we have decided to cancel the event on Sunday, January 24th. Tickets already purchased will be valid for any of our upcoming events (Sunday 14th Feb and Sunday 21st March, with an April date tbc), or you can absolutely request a refund as well.
