22.01.2022 SOLD P/PU...Rustic Trunk Coffee Table in French Linen $360 This is a seriously large coffee table! It would be perfect for creating a relaxed and casual feel in your family room or alfresco. A solid piece brimming over with rustic charm and oodles of storage accessed by the two hinged lids. I must admit I absolutely love the fabulous forged steel decorative corner straps and escutcheon plates. I think they give it a treasure chest look. Or maybe a travellers trunk that has s...pent a year or two on a steamer? Makes me wonder what kinds of treasures it may have had inside. There is no "back side" to this coffee table because not only does the top hinge open from both sides, it is trimmed identically on both sides with the forged steel trims. If your house is tight on storage this would give you bonus space to store away the extra guest bedding, sleeping bags for kids sleep overs or to hide away that mountain of decorating magazines!! 20.01.2022 Sold...Vintage European Farm Pull Cart $595 I love these carts! We don't see many turn up in Australia but they are used often in Europe on old farms because they are so utilitarian. This one may well have spent time in the French countryside somewhere, who knows! The wheels are made of iron and wood and the tray is old seasoned wood. If you can stop the kids racing off with this (it would be very tempting) , pile high with assorted rustic pots and prized plants and display p...roudly in your garden or forecourt. 20.01.2022 Sold ...Ornate French Coffee Table $200 Yes yes yes this chic little coffee table was actually purchased in Paris! A really delightful lady then shipped it back to her home in England and luckily for us she brought it over to Perth with her when she moved in with her daughter. She told me the table was a treasured possession until her husband "spoiled the patina with some careless action" and then the poor table was relegated to his potting shed!! Oh dear! 16.01.2022 It's Christmas Time! Yes it's starting to feel a lot like Christmas around here!! I must admit my beautiful tree went up quite late this year and the Christmas cake has only just come out of the oven, but then attending Carols in the park last night certainly helped get me fully into the Christmas spirit once and for all. I would like to wish you all a safe a happy time over the holiday period. I do hope you get to enjoy time with family and friends or use technology to ad...vantage and maybe "skype in" with absent ones? I would also like to say thank you to all of you for your support this year. 2015 has been a huge first year for Home Styling Werx. I launched my facebook page in January and then the Home Styling Werx website finally went public in October. http://www.homestylingwerx.com.au Thank you to all of you for helping me get this far. I've thoroughly enjoyed finding beautiful pieces of furniture to paint and your kind messages , likes, shares, comments & enthusiasm has been highly motivating for me. I love hearing about your plans for your home decorating and I particularly love it when I receive photos of my painted furniture looking so loved in their new forever homes. As many of you know, Mr Tiz and I tend to be "serial renovators" and with our Sorrento home completed and now sold it is time to move on to our next renovation project!! 05.01.2022 Hello dear friends of Home Styling Werx!! Thank you so so much for keeping your messages of encouragement coming while I relocated my family. It's been a bit of a tree change for us as we were near the beach in Sorrento and now we are enjoying the lake in Edgewater. It has been a mammoth task in some extreme heat and I'm not sure I will ever move house again!! Trouble is, I know I'm also a serial renovator and I'm a sucker for a quirky house so maybe I shouldn't be so quick ...to say never! Well I have internet now (woohoo finally!) and my studio space is more or less set up and I have painted a couple of gorgeous coffee tables for you, a little lamp table and a yummy rustic buffet. 03.01.2022 Sold ...French Provincial Rattan Shelf Coffee Table $260 I love these coffee tables!! I think this is the third in this style that I have painted though this one is slightly bigger than the others. I just love the way the wood responds to chalk painting, waxing and distressing. Not every piece of furniture behaves itself when painted let me tell you! I was thrilled to bits that the rattan shelf was still in perfect condition too and now with a new coat of chalk this table is... ready for you to enjoy. I have finished in a lovely mellow lighter shade of old white ( a creamy white) so it will fit with all of your neutrals and also with darker wood tones. This is a simply made, charmingly rustic 1940's piece shipped over from Africa and I think it would work very well if used to house a TV. 02.01.2022 Sold PP/U...Rustic Antique Breakfast Table $280 Certainly not a large table but would still sit two or three people very comfortably. Four might be pushing it a bit but it could be done! How cute would this table look with a few mismatched spindlebacks? The table is quite old and has lots of battle scars and is very charming. You could also consider using as a display table in that bare corner of your lounge to show off your collection of beautifully framed family photos and... special collectables. If you have the space, it can be very handy to have an extra table to press into service for large family gatherings don't you think? PS: Do you like the metal castors? Me too!! Gorgeous!
