25.01.2022 Homeward Bound Veterinary Services is dedicated to providing affordable, caring and convenient veterinary care for pets in and around the city of Dubbo. I studied veterinary science at the University of Queensland and followed my passion for small animal medicine, working in veterinary hospitals all around NSW, Queensland and the UK. After many years of working in busy private practices, I recognised that, for some clients and their furry loved ones, a simple trip to the vet ...for a routine consultation could turn into an enormously stressful situation or a logistical nightmare. They would often have to spend more time in the waiting room than with the vet, and not always have continuity with the same vet on follow-up appointments. After experiencing for myself the inconvenience of not having transport, juggling motherhood with a newborn baby turned ‘free spirited’ toddler, and inheriting a highly anxiety ridden cat who would face near death experiences if placed anywhere near our other cat, the challenges faced by the average client also became very real to me! I am passionate about offering quality, convenient veterinary care to our community and taking the stress out of peoples lives...and their pets!...with one-on-one home visits, at no extra charge, ensuring a more relaxed and familiar environment. I look forward to meeting all your fur-babies and being able to help them live happy and healthy lives.

15.01.2022 What a wonderful start!! Zeke's nose was a little out of joint that he had to share his appointment with his visiting relatives, but all was forgiven when the treats came out!! A huge thank you to the Sobye household for allowing me to take care of their furry babies. Certainly an eclectic trio!! I look forward to my next visit.

13.01.2022 Just too cute!! I think "Oscar" is going to love his new family as much as they love him!! Final vaccination all done...he's free to party!!...or perhaps just a snooze...

12.01.2022 Every Spring and Summer an overwhelming number of kittens are born and most are 'given' away in the hope of finding their forever homes. Often a 'free' pet is considered great value, however they are usually unvaccinated. Protecting your pet from preventable diseases with vaccinations helps to eliminate the costs and heartache involved if they do get sick from these debilitating diseases. I'd like to remind everyone that its the purrr-fect time to vaccinate all your cats and kittens!!! Book your kitty's at-home vaccination with me this week...no travel, no carry cages, no stress!!! I look forward to meeting every new and existing furry family member.

08.01.2022 It's often the simple ideas that make the biggest difference!! Hopefully saves many lives...something to think about this summer!! Does anyone have any other great ideas for preventing wildlife drownings in our swimming pools and troughs..?? Please comment if you do and share your ideas with our community...we'd all like to save these little critters.

06.01.2022 Oh my goodness!! These gorgeous 2 boys reminded me so much of the movie "Twins"!! What a delightful pair...such a joy to meet them. Huge thank you to Tracey for allowing me into their home. You would never know little "Peanut" normally has to be sedated at the vets to be examined!!
