Our fresh egg pasta follows the traditional northern Italian recipe with two simple ingredients. We use only 100% durum semolina flour from boutique millers, Bellata Gold, and our own delicious rosso duovo red/orange yolk eggs - the rich colour coming from our hens natural diet per the farming method in northern Italy. Weve gone back to our original yolk orange and focused in on our stocking densities, open range methods, as well as our mission to change egg farming for the better. 16.01.2022 We recently had a few of our partners come up and visit the farm. They had a chance to meet the team, learn more about what and how we are changing egg farming for the better, and even collect their own eggs! Heres some highlight photos of the day.

15.01.2022 Did you know our packaging and labels are completely compostable, biodegradable and recyclable? So once youre done with your award winning eggs you can put the packaging (which already came from recycled material) into the compost, or recycling, happy in the thought that it didnt cost the planet an arm and a leg. No need to separate the label or pack! We also source our packaging locally. It costs more, but weve made the choice to support the local community and reduce... the environmental impact from shipping. As 3rd and 4th generation farmers weve seen the impact poor environmental decisions can have on the land so we are baking values on regeneration and sustainability into our business and will continue to figure out ways of being better. 11.01.2022 On our farms you'll notice a fluffy white Maremma sheepdog at every chook shed. They aren't just there to look pretty, but are integral to our hen security. Each dog is introduced to the flocks at an early age to create strong familiar bonds, protecting and warning our chooks of any possible predators. They grow to love one another deeply and are often found cuddling together basking in the sun. If you're curious to see a Maremma in action, we highly recommend the movie Oddball (2015)! It's a lovely and heartwarming film we're certain the whole family would enjoy.

05.01.2022 One of the pillars of Honest Eggs Co. is to support the local community. . . We have deliberately chosen local because we believe in using business to support the community - even if it means higher costs. From sponsoring the local footy, to teaching Wesley College kids about regenerative farming, we want the wider community to benefit from what we do. Many of our customers feel the same too - like Alla Wolf Tasker from The Lakehouse Restaurant Daylesford who has played a ke...y role in getting us started. On occasion we have to go Australia wide e.g. our cleaning products are sourced from Mountain Cleaning Products in NSW as they make what we think are the best natural cleaning products, and our hens are from SA because of their breeding practices, as well as internationally (delivery vans sourced locally of course), but over 90% of our suppliers are local. When you buy local you impact so many in the local community, providing employment and sustaining local families. We hope you are with us in always looking local first, or if you arent at the moment, this makes you stop and think about the $ you spend and how far reaching the impact can be. 01.01.2022 HELP! WANTED. CASUAL EGG COLLECTOR WHO WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE EGG FARMING FOR THE BETTER. If you are an honest rooster or hen, who would prefer to to spend their days working for a company with a greater purpose beyond a 9-5, then wed love to hear from you about our casual egg collector role(s). The ideal candidate would be available after morning school drop off (start 9.30am, with early afternoon finishes), who is passionate about animal welfare, has an eye for detail, and ...has a good level of fitness. An Australian drivers licence is required and you would need to live within 20 mins of our farm near Guildford.
