25.01.2022 Anyone else a fan of Terrariums? I love the idea of a self-contained ecosystem and each of the terrariums I make a built just for that. I include a drainage and filter layer in every terrarium as well as beneficial 'springtails' to break down detritus and fungus. All you need to do is water when the drainage layer has dried out! That simple. Also our range has the option of individual glass covers for the opening or you can stack them for a unique and incredible look!... 22.01.2022 Philodendron Brazil! In my opinion this guy has some of the most stunning variegation, the splash of yellow and green is always sure to impress. Better yet, these dudes are real easy care plants, can handle the whole range of bright to low light (avoid direct bright light) and don't have special humidity requirement. 19.01.2022 Oxalis Triangularis are ready! You heard it! A batch of these will be included in the restock on Friday! Set a reminder for Friday 7:30pm (AEST) and get in quick as these gorgeous dudes have a reputation for going quick!... Oxalis is an easy care plant, they thrive indoors and prefer bright indirect or direct light. They need a well draining soil and should only be watered when partially dry. Fun fact! The leaves and flowers of this plant are edible and can be used to garnish salads and desserts, the decorative foliage has an acidic flavour due to the oxalic acid Snap one up at www.hookedonhouseplants.com

18.01.2022 So we're shaking things up a little bit around here at the moment. I'm growing things like crazy hoping to get a few select goodies ready to sell. This means my restocks will be much smaller and select. We're talking melanochrysum, gloriosum, majestic and more! But in the interim I'll be selling some of my favourite common cuttings so you at home can practice propagating. Starting it off are some of these gorgeous marble pothos ... We still have lots of goodies available, including this magnificent alocasia amazonica - the striking leaves are reminiscent of the Bambino however grow much wider and larger with time ... 09.01.2022 Hi all. I know I know, we've been a tad inactive the last week. Still plenty going on behind the scenes working on new things to bring you all. For example, if you didn't know already we have started our own fun line of air plants mounted to crystals!! I'd love to hear your thoughts. You can go to the website, under crystals and pick your gem size, and choose with or without air plant. Alternatively order both a crystal and air plant separately and let me know in the order notes if you want them combined I'm really loving these and hope you do to!

For this peperomia Angulata Rocca Verde (what a mouthful) I find it thrives on a bit of loving neglect. position him in a bright place use a well draining soil... let him dry out between watering just let him grow On top of all that he also has such stunning foliage, deep green leaves with bright lime veining an excellent gift plant and easy care! 02.01.2022 We've now got a whole range of air plants! Probably the ultimate hardy plant, and perfect for the misting fanatics among us. These guys thrive on humidity and light. Simply mist them regularly and use some liquid fertiliser every now and then. Better yet, you can display these mounted on pretty much anything as they feed through their leaves and don't need planted roots. Get creative, get an air plant.
