19.01.2022 Chrysolopus spectabilis - the stunning Botany Bay Weevil was living on one of my wattles (Acacia floribunda) in my home regeneration site! What a sight! This beetle was the first described insect by the British. These beetles eat acacias, both adults and the larvae. 16.01.2022 I met this gentleman today. He came in perfect timing for a video we are finishing on getting out as a family and leading a nature Safari in Western Sydney. It must have been an omen as I was surrounded by Eastern Bearded Dragons as a child! These characters caught my attention and imagination and I loved them. 01.01.2022 I dont know what species of Dragonfly this is? A friend of mine did some keying out and she believes its in the Evening Darner - Telephlebia sp. group. It was one of the biggest dragonflies Id ever seen and it was out just after Christmas in a canyon in the Blue Mountains near Berambing/Bilpin.
