23.01.2022 Happy international womens day to every last one of you Today, and every day, it is so important to remember that you are loved, valued and created with a purpose. At Hope, it is our mission and purpose to change the lives of women who seek life change from addiction and/or prostitution. Its so important to look at the little picture each day, and to honour yourself for everything you offer the world.

22.01.2022 Introducing our first ever #womanofthemonth, Sasha! The link to Sashas full story and journey with Hope is in our bio. **Hope Foundation comes alongside many incredible women, with stories which deserve to be heard. To do so, we will be sitting down for coffee with one Hope chick a month, and sharing their story with you. All names will be changed for safety and respectful purposes.** At the age of 12 Sasha started to contemplate the idea of prostitution, after televised pro...mpts, and experiences of sexual trauma and bullying. There were hundreds of layers which eventually led to her experience within the industry from ages 19 to 22, namely, a lack of self-worth, and no concept of boundaries. Sasha had also battled to maintain jobs due to struggles with mental health and addiction, leading to a sense of incompetence. and fear of not being able to provide for basic needs of living. I didnt need to be present whilst sleeping with people and I was so disconnected and disassociated that escorting seemed like the only option available it gave me a temporary sense of security because it made me quick money to pay for life, and for substances to help me escape life when I needed to, she told me. Her last shift in the industry was three years ago, after continuous attempts to escape, which often failed. On her final shift through an agency, she told the driver she didnt want to go inside. The driver pushed her to do the shift, and then the agency contacted about 50 times after Sasha tried to leave. In the period of working in the industry, she felt alone and unsafe, but at least there was a sense of control, and she felt in control of her abuse.... (see link in bio) See more

19.01.2022 Wow. Today marks 12 years since a group of 180 world-changers gathered at the Brisbane Convention Centre, to launch the Hope Foundation. March the 1st 2007 marks a pivotal moment in our journey, and the journeys of women whose lives have been touched by our work. Today we walk in love.

15.01.2022 How lucky are we! Yesterday the Hope Chicks were visited by our favourite horticulturalist, who hosted a plant/music-themed bible study. Everyone left smiling with a baby plant to take home and care for P.S. if you have any specialties and a knowledge of devotions, we would love to hear from you about hosting one of our sessions for the Hope Chicks!

12.01.2022 #womensupportingwomen Hope Haven needs a few of these essential items for our Hope Chicks. We are so grateful for every donation, big and small, so if you have any of these spare (new) or if you can purchase them to send, you would be changing lives. Fund donations are also accepted if you wish to include the items you want the money to buy, so that we can do the work for you. Our PO box is in our bio- or you can bring these items straight up @thelovewellproject in Mt Gravatt and we will grab them from there.

11.01.2022 Last Thursday a few Hope Chicks participated in a cooking workshop. They made resurrection rolls with symbolic reference to Jesus and his journey out of the tomb . (Oh and there were a few pizzas for the Hope connect dinner made too!).
