20.01.2022 August 12, 1973, 47 years ago tonight my dad, Chuck Colson, gave his life to Christ. It was a night much like tonight with heat hanging in the air and pressure...s rising beyond what anyone could stand. There was no sense of what the future would bring. No clear path forward. Sound familiar? 47 years ago it was Watergate. Today the challenges are even greater. But I have something now- I can look back knowing God had a glorious plan in the midst of the mess of Watergate. And even when I can’t see it, I know He has a glorious plan in the midst of the mess today. God is at work. He is not asleep at the job. The only question iswhat are we doing? What do we do when we are at the end, when we despair even of life as the apostle Paul said. Do we run from Him? Or do we run to Him? I’m not sure there is any other choice. This world is broken the evidence is mounting. God had a rescue plan. He sent His son Jesus right into this mess. Right into hate and division and sickness and suffering. Right into scandals and politics and Watergate. To bring us hope. To bring us to Himself. To be the Way forward. I can run to someone who loves me that much. See more

07.01.2022 At the grocery store this morning and heard a loud crash and something shattering. Being nosy, I walked towards the sound and saw some people whispering and loo...king back to the end of the next aisle. When I walked down that aisle, I saw an older lady had hit a shelf and many things had fallen to the ground and broke. She was kneeling on the floor embarrassed, frantically trying to clean up. I felt so bad for her, and everyone was just standing there staring at her. So I went and knelt beside her and told her not to worry and started helping her pick up the broken pieces. After about a minute, the store manager came and knelt beside us and said, Leave it, we will clean this up. The lady, totally embarrassed said, I need to pay for all this first. The manager smiled, helped her to her feet and said, No ma’am, we have insurance for this, you do not have to pay anything! If you have read this far, I would like for you to give me a minute. Wherever you are, close your eyes, and imagine God doing the same for you! Collecting the pieces of your broken heart from all the blows life has thrown at you. The bill for your faults, sin and folly has already been paid through the precious blood of Christ. God will heal all your wounds. He wants to gently lift you to your feet again, clean up your mess, and pick up all the broken pieces. He wants to heal you! He wants to take care of your soul! We can have that same insurance and it’s called GRACE! Share if you were blessed. Somebody say amen

03.01.2022 What’s true in the light is still true in the dark. // Worshipping despite our feelings does NOT mean ignoring them or pretending that we aren’t in pain or stru...ggling. In the western church we so often associate worship with praise or unrelenting positivity, that we lose some of the complexity offered to us in the Psalms. The Psalms of disorientation or psalms of lament are roadmaps to processing the full spectrum of human emotion with our Creator. Lord shatter their teeth in their mouth... (58:6) How long oh Lord? Will you forget me forever? (13:1) ...dash their offspring against a rock... (137:9) When’s the last time those sentiments crossed your prayers? Sometimes I think we can feel disqualified from worship or communicating with the Holy Spirit because we need an attitude adjustment or to muster up some faith. Nothing could be further from what the Bible encourages us to do. Jesus wants it all. He wants our tears, our sorrows and anger, he wants our sarcasm and petty thoughts. Worship happens when we bring them to Him, because in doing so, we’re letting Him in to the process. #IChooseToWorship
