12.01.2022 The Hope Vale IKC celebrated Book Week this week by hosting an event at the Hope Vale IKC today with the Cape York Aboriginal Australian Academy (CYAAA) primary school. Students from the DI 3 class attended the IKC and discovered the magic of books with Shirley Costello, Coordinator of the IKC who discussed the range of collections which are available and what the IKC has to offer them. The students selected a number of books to read and displayed their reading skills to S...hirley and what they are interested in. State Libraries Queensland and the Hope Vale Aboriginal Shire Council have been working hard together provide the best library resources for our community. Regards

08.01.2022 Students and teachers from the Cooktown High School used the facilities at the Hope Vale IKC with Shirley Costello to host a Study Group on Monday afternoon. All parents and teachers are invited to use the IKC to help students complete their studies, We have 4 PC's with Microsoft products and internet connectivity available between the hours of 11 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 8 am to 12 pm on Fridays..
