23.01.2022 Afternoon! We hope you survived #postcreekweek. If you didn’t, we can only hope it was worthwhile. Difficult to fathom this time last week we had it all ahead of us. Straight off the bat, can we get a fuck yeah for the weather? After providing a wide array of challenges over the years it seems Mother Nature finally decided we’d earned our keep. Not only welcomed but treated to an extraordinary show as impressive as the vibe itself. Who knows if we will ever literally boogie o...n a cloud again? Take a bow Mother Nature. As always we’d also like to extend our deepest gratitude to every single person who contributed their time and energy to the party this year. Another unforgettable step forward in the life of the festival that can only ever be achieved with a colossal amount of hard work, creative thinking and unconditional support from an inspiring team of human beings. Thank you. Last but far from least, the dancers! Thank you for another dazzling display of the unique Hopkins Creek spirit we can’t describe and can’t live without. We are consistently blown away by the amount of love and respect you all bring. It’s the final piece of a puzzle that when complete can only be described as magic. Somewhere between the haze of Little Morocco, wild Bait Shop antics and powerful thump of the stage, we hope you each found what you were looking for this year in the crater. On Sunday we hold our annual review at the Gasometer with encores from Alison Swing, Kato & the Angling Club. Come share a story, a drink and a dance as we wrap up another life affirming year of music & mateship Image: Cinzia Ubaldi

18.01.2022 A PLACE FOR SELF EXPRESSION, EXPLORATION & UNIVERSAL COMMON SENSE. Please carefully consider the following message if you intend on joining our community this weekend, particularly if it’s your first time at the festival. While we hold great trust in our extended Hopkins Creek family to always do the right thing, it’s vital to remember the following before stepping foot inside the crater tomorrow. HOPKINS CREEK IS A SAFE, INCLUSIVE SPACE COMPLETELY VOID OF JUDGEMENT, HARASSME...NT & DISCRIMINATION OF ANY KIND. We pride ourselves on providing an experience in which every human being can celebrate being themselves. We simply don’t tolerate any form of racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, violent or abusive behaviour that puts anyone in an uncomfortable or unsafe position. If you happen to witness anti social behaviour we urge you to approach a member of staff so we can deal with the situation immediately. We take every possible measure to protect the safe & inclusive nature of our festival. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all or perhaps just stay at home, this place is not for you. IT IS A PRIVILEGE, NOT A RIGHT TO BE GIVEN THIS LAND. We do not tolerate any carelessness or disrespect regarding the land which we are so incredibly fortunate to dance on. It is a privilege not a right to be using the crater and surrounding farmlands, we ask you to give it the respect it deserves. We have a goal of zero waste in 2019, please support the initiates we have in place. Be responsible for your waste in all areas of the festival grounds and again, we encourage you to alert staff if someone isn’t playing fair. LOOK AFTER YOUR MATES Anyone who has attended the festival in the past will rightly tell you how uniquely special the vibe is at Hopkins Creek. It’s by no accident or fluke and requires an individual effort by every single person in attendance. Take care of yourself and each other. Only together can we continue to create the beautifully intimate party we know and love. As always we acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands, the Tjabwurrung people and pay our respect to the elders past, present and emerging. CONNECT TO THE MUSIC, THE LAND AND EACH OTHER. ONE. MORE. SLEEP.

10.01.2022 The plot thickens! Theres already so much to be said about 2020 that its overwhelming to even begin a paragraph. No doubt everyone has had ample time to explore their thoughts and evaluate the preconceived notions of this modern world and our responsibilities within it. While our hearts sit with the various front line heroes and victims of this tumultuous year, for sanity’s sake let’s today focus on the realm of non-essential gatherings of 500+ people.... First & foremost sending love to fellow organisations and our friends within them during what we can only hope is the most hostile challenge to our industry for a minute. Organising a large scale party is fraught with risk at the best of times and we deeply empathise with those who’s tireless work, energy and passion became unraveled by an uncontrollable factor. Where ever the opportunity arises be sure to follow the music and support those who work to bring it to life. In a year that for us had already been dedicated to self-reflection, the apocalyptic nature of 2020 has only roused a deeper desire for understanding here at Hopkins Creek. If anything the last few months has served as a welcome reminder of privilege and renewed appreciation for the celebration of music & mateship. We are motivated to again make the party that we love and deliver it in the spectacular fashion you deserve. For now we can promise our fifth instalment is indeed on the horizon and will transpire in late November if given the all clear. More than ever our focus will be on presenting a diverse selection of Australia’s most alluring musical talents while commemorating the ideas & values that have brought us to where we are today. We look forward to dancing with our overseas family whenever the time is right. We will be introducing a ballot system for tickets this year to ensure Hopkins Creek family will get first dibs on what will remain a limited capacity. We ask you keep any emails from us on your radar (check spam if not receiving) as we will be using this medium to communicate important information as it unfolds. Watch this space! Love HC

10.01.2022 MOTHER NATURE NEEDS OUR HELP. A clean dance floor is a happy dance floor! While we may enjoy letting loose, we do not enjoy getting messy. It is our privilege, not our right to be given the beautiful land where we gather for Hopkins Creek. Working closely with resource recovery experts B-Alternative, we have more initiatives in place than ever before in our goal for a zero-waste festival in 2019. ... We kindly ask that you take the time to carefully read this information, support the concepts, and familiarise yourself with the expectations when camping on the land. Only together can we make the difference needed to make large scale parties sustainable on Planet Earth.

09.01.2022 Mother Nature not providing anywhere near the required challenge for a Hopkins Creek. See you next year.

09.01.2022 Hopkins Creek 2019 - 15 days

07.01.2022 There are only 10 spots remaining for the Hopkins Creek bus service! If you miss out then please message the page to be added to the wait list. Anyone who is organising private buses we ask if you could also please message the page with the capacity of your bus and ETA so we can ensure smooth entries for all. Big ups everyone who chose the bus, 3 weeks to go!

07.01.2022 Connect to the music, the land & each other. With 2/3 of our ethos still currently deemed unsafe practice, it is an inevitable truth that Hopkins Creek will be sadly missed this November. Though the cut is deep, our hearts remain with the victims, front liners and friends within the industry who have been most affected by such a ruthless year existing on Planet Earth. While the ramifications will be felt long into the future, creative types are called so for a reason. As al...ways we encourage you to follow the music, see the show & buy the art. A cobber in need is a cobber indeed. On that note the makings of our fifth effort, along with a generous dash of hope for all mankind will re-enter the cask to mature a while longer. Let's stick together for what will be a tantalising voyage of anticipation. Trust that our minds are oozing, our bellies on fire and sleeves lined with tricks. Over time the inextinguishable spirit of Hopkins Creek has grown to welcome challenge like an old friend- this ain’t our first rodeo, nor will it be our last. See you stood tall with a Barry’s Bitter on the other side. In the name of Music & Mateship, HC.

06.01.2022 Sending love to fellow organisations and our friends within them during these uncertain & unprecedented times. Not commonly known for deep pockets, the cruel irony of watching our creative community put on ice after displaying so much generosity during the bush fire crisis is a difficult reality to swallow. When the moment is right be sure to follow the music and support those who work to bring it to life. At a time we could perhaps all benefit from a few moments of positive... reflection, reclaim the highs of our 2019 celebration through the eyes of photographer David Boyd Smiley Keep fighting the good fight

05.01.2022 Fantastic to see so much support for the Hopkins Creek bus service this year. We have just added another bus meaning there’s another 50 spots now available. 04.01.2022 LITTLE MOROCCO The much adored vibe of Little Morocco returns in 2019, serving the Hopkins Creek community as a multisensory meeting place for relaxing, rejuvenation and sharing. This year sonically curated by three of Melbourne’s own leaders in the world of ambient & experimental music, Little Morocco will also play host to art installations, various interactive workshops, yoga, meditation & more throughout the weekend. ... Please raise a sweet glass of maghrebi to this years list of performers. Bliss!

02.01.2022 Yet another mouth watering line up announcement! Our friends Nomad Pizza, El Chivi, Gyoza Records, Bonito Burrito, Wickliffe/Lake Bolac Football Netball Club and Alley Tunes all bringing the flavour to the crater in 2019. Plenty of vegan/vegetarian options across the board plus all vendors will now be utilising the reusable crockery system!... One month to go!
