19.01.2022 So excited to start using this really simplified feed from a local producer. We're 5 days into using it and transitioning from our previous diet of two pelletised feeds, but it's so nice to get back to a more raw product. Just a scoop of one feed and soak for 5 minutes, so 'simple'! If anyone one in the Manji area is keen to try it, let me know, as I'm most likely going to stock the feed too!

18.01.2022 Fantastic images to show how little the equine stomach really is, and how smaller feeds more often are more effective for their digestive tract to work to it's full potential. Look for low feeding rates per day, higher concentrated feeds to keep smaller feeds. More feed does not equal more nutrition!

16.01.2022 What a year! 2020 has been crazy for everyone, here in Western Australia we're almost back to normal in regards to Covid-19. Amazing to think the local show (bottom right pic) almost didn't go ahead! Fast forward to just a month ago when our new little human was born. Can't wait to see what 2021 has in store for us!

I keep a spreadsheet of all business transactions throughout the year to see incomes & outgoings, I do a stocktake to get the value of my stocktake as at June 30th and a simple document outlining income, stock value and general business details. I do love a good Excel spreadsheet and the ease of formulas!

04.01.2022 Capeweed is prominent at the moment thanks to the rain and patchy sun. Look out for gut changes (changes in manure consistency), behaviour in your horse and weight loss from loose manure.

04.01.2022 Absolutely love doing up a pumpkin batch for the horses. Skin, seeds and all, into one pot to soften and then stick blend. These pots will do the two of them for 3 days. Great for gently shifting any sand in the gut and adding a little extra to their coats
