25.01.2022 Equine Bowen Therapy Last weekend we had Laura Bird from One Spirit bring a group of Equine Bowen Therapy students to Horse Horizons for the day. Will, Juliet & Dakoda got so much from their Bowen treatments - it's such a fantastic way to care for both their physical & emotional wellbeing. In return, the herd supported the students to refine their practical skills, knowledge & self-awareness. I really love these days & always learn so much too! Thanks to Laura, Jayne & the students for your time & care

24.01.2022 I had a very inspiring day on Saturday working with the riders in the Fear to Freedom program! It was an amazing opportunity to work with women who are facing their fears and challenging themselves to further develop their riding skills, self-awareness and relationships with their horses. Powerful stuff Loved collaborating with Laura Bird from One Spirit and Ann Montgomery from RWYM Australia!

17.01.2022 First Responders, PTSD & Equine assisted therapy This Fox31 News clip shows the Equine Response program in the US, working with horses to support First Responders dealing with trauma and traumatic stress injuries. I'm running a 1 day early intervention program on burnout & PTSD for First Responders and Corrections Officers in December...with help from the horses. More info soon... ... 15.01.2022 Equine assisted therapy was recently featured on the 60 Minutes Australia story 'Breaking Ice'. Equine therapy is part of the ongoing treatment program for women with addiction at a rehab clinic in Victoria. You can skip to 6:50 to see how horses are helping people fight addiction. The 'Horse Wisdom' equine assisted therapy program featured in the story is run by The Equine Psychotherapy Institute. The EPI is where I completed my training and certification so it's very exciting to see the fantastic work they are doing featured in this story!
