23.01.2022 Ok guys let's talk sedation. I will not clip without knowing what sedation is being used. ANYTHING that is ACE based I will NOT clip if this has been given as they can go from being drowsy to losing it in seconds.and that's when everyone gets hurt. Many years ago I went to clip a horse and the girl had used injectable ACE. The horse was so bad I almost had my head kicked in. NOT IDEAL. The second instance it was sedazine paste. We got the pony clipped but as I was doing th...e last stroke on his front leg he reared up and almost came down on top of me. I ask this question..... How much is your life worth to u? Mine is worth more than the cost of a clip!! If your horse needs to b sedated then a vet MUST b called unless u take on the responsibility of injecting your own horse. I CAN do it but it is illegal for me to sedate ur horse and if anything happens I open myself up for legal action. Any horses clipped by myself need to be sedated with Dormoseden. This makes sure they r out for the hour or more I need to get a good clip done. If legs and/or face is being done they WILL need a top up. Pic of my young horse clipped. Full body including her face off.

21.01.2022 First 2 full clips done today. This is my horse with a full clip. This horse is so good I am often finishing his clip in the paddock with no halter on.

21.01.2022 Today I helped out with a gelding of a colt and clipped a friends horse for her first time. She was sedated as she can b a tad drama queenish with her ears so drugs it was!! I did her face ears and legs and left her body to last. She wasn't a fan of the big clippers but she relaxed into it. Thank u to my wonderful client for trusting me to do a first time clip on ur gorgeous Connie. Much more manageable without that hair. Ready for boot camp.

21.01.2022 After serious consideration and consultation with a couple of friends who r nurses & a fellow clipper. I will b clipping however most weekends I will b in the truck and possibly interstate so flexibility is the key here. Anyone on agistment must have the ok for me to come and clip. I will b sanitizing all gear when I have finished (Oh this is going to b fun). Social distancing will b done and if ur horse is ok to tie up and b clipped even better. I prob won't b in overalls this year so I can wash/change in between clients (Oh joy)! Difficult horses I will not b doing this year as I dont need to get injured and take up prescious hospital time. Distance is the issue here too. I will not b doing multiple visits to the same area unless it's local to me.

19.01.2022 I have a couple of spots for clipping on Tuesday 2nd june pearcedale & surrounds. 1 late morning and 1 early arvo. Message me here or call/text p409 967 476

19.01.2022 It's been very very quiet on the clipping front this season for obvious reasons........ Thanks so much COVID!! My last 2 horses for this season were just around the corner. 2 Gybsy Cobs body clipped with there full face left on so they still had their beards and high leg line to keep all their feathers. The one pictured was his first clip and one of the very few who LOVED his tummy being clipped. Apparently it was super itchy.

17.01.2022 Clipping bookings coming in. Sat 25th April Pearcedale. I have availability for 3-4 more in the afternoon depending on location. Monday 27th April Wattle Bank (Wonthaggi) I have a couple of spots available. ... Message me to book. See more

15.01.2022 Today I clipped a 33yo cushings pony who came up a treat. He was so relieved to get his coat off. Surprisingly his coat is fabulous under all that fluff. He will be so much more comfortable now.

14.01.2022 All clipping appointments for April will be cancelled due to Covid19. Please stay safe and healthy out there.

13.01.2022 Well clipping season is just around the corner. I will have limited spots this year so unfortunately I will not be taking on new clients unless they are quiet and easy to clip and are also they r located close or on the same property as existing clients. Already had my first booking but Rob is super organised and knows when he needs his clips done by.

12.01.2022 A pic of my client from Sunday. Such a good boy for his clip. A lovely Rotspon gelding. Full clip.

11.01.2022 Wonthaggi and Labatouche were my destinations today. 2 horses for Rob who loves his hunting. Blanket clips for both and I have been clipping these boys for the last 3 years. This year is 4 years. The last one for the day was a clydie Stock Horse. Yup not much SH in there This is another regular client. I have been clipping horses for about 10 - 15years. Poppy had a Hunter clip without the saddle patch.

11.01.2022 Clipping season this year has been a long one. I am currently still clipping some horses here and there mainly racehorses coming back from a spell and of course our poor cushings ponies now that it's starting to warm.up. I have clipped 70 horses this season which is a record for me. Still have a few bookings available here and there. Message me for bookings.

09.01.2022 At Horsey Day Spa we not only clip your pampered pet and performance horse but I also do some racehorses. Today was 4 clips. 3 race horses and their lead pony. 2 were great sedated and came round whilst I finished off. 1 was not a happy camper at all and had to b really zonked out for his clip after throwing a front leg twice as he came out of sedation quite quickly. The lead pony required no sedation and was a gem except his ticklish belly. All horses came up a treat however 1 had a very quick and safe clip. There were areas that were not safe enough to even b attempted like the inside leg lines on all 4 legs. This sometimes happens and my safety is the most important thing than persisting with a horse that has clearly had enough and it is becoming dangerous for both the handler and myself.

08.01.2022 Clipping season this year has been huge. I have done a grand total of 65 horses (and that's what is written in my diary)!!! Some we r only clipped once and others (like mine) 3 times. I still have some spots available but very few now at this late stage. I have 2 booked in in heyfield for Monday 1st October and have room for 1 more. Possibly a few more racehorses when they come back after a spell. Next week is fully booked. Limited availability through October.

07.01.2022 Today I clipped 1 in Hurstbridge. This was her 3rd clip and she was super easy. Boy was it cold this morning. My second was a wonderful friends horse. This was also her 3rd clip and this time we took her legs off as well. She has so many dapples. The sign of a healthy horse.

07.01.2022 Due to the gov guidelines regarding non essential travel I am sorry to say that I may not b able to come and clip your pony this season. Until we know more info I will not be making a decision on this until just before the date you are booked in. I have not cancelled anyone yet however realisticly I probably will have too. I hope you guys understand and you stay safe out there.

06.01.2022 I will b clipping in Moe Monday lunchtime. Have another spot to fill in Gipsland and anywhere on the way from Seymour if anyone wanted their horse clipped. Prices start at $100 plus travel fees. Message me for bookings.

04.01.2022 Gotta love action pics of your clients. Winning pony with their sleek new clip. Thanks for the pic Tess.

04.01.2022 2 horses I clipped last week both had Hunter clips. I have been clipping the bay for approx 7 or 8 years and the chestnut was her first clip. I used the sapphir cordless clippers on her and she was super. The Sapphir cordless r perfect for first timers as they r quiet and have less vibration than the big clippers. Thanks for being such a loyal client Jacinta.

03.01.2022 Apologies to those that messaged me yesterday. For some reason I couldn't get into my messages. I have replied to u all.

02.01.2022 1 of my clients from today. Thanks Becca Hunter including full face.
