23.01.2022 THANK - YOU Well it's pretty safe to say our Open Haus was a huge success thanks to all of you! The turnout was amazing! From 9:30am to 4pm you came to buy some glass, enter a raffle, eat a sausage, drink some prosecco, bid on a cup, gave us hugs, and spoke words of encouragement. We were overwhelmed with all the love and support we had yesterday. ... Shout out to our stallholders Capra Designs, Dot & Co., @YO.DAN, Mariella McKinley, Andrej Larson, Samantha Cuffe Glass, Mikey Ting, and Gillian Pollard who joined us not knowing what to expect for our first ever event. It was so lovely to have you on board. And did you guys see the amazing mural Mikey Ting painted for us, pretty much designed the spot? It's staying! We love it! Thank you T2 Tea and Paradigm Hill Winery for kindly donating some delicious and amazing raffle prizes. (Winners announced soon!) And a special shout out to the help we had from our friends and families who helped us set up, wrapped glass, sold raffle tickets, cooked sausages, donated glass, and pack up at the end of the day. Needless to say we couldn't have done this without you. THANK - YOU

23.01.2022 We are so excited that not only has Amanda been once again been commissioned to create the Design Files Awards this year, and also has been appointed one of the judges for the Handcrafted Category. Check out the details for the awards, maybe you should apply? The real icing on the cake would be if we get our furnace up and running we could make them....in HAUS!!!

20.01.2022 This furnace ain’t gonna build itself! We spent our public holiday casting the last section of the crown (roof) of our furnace. Special shout out to Danielle Colón for helping us out with this messy job. It’s all coming together with a little help from our friends.

16.01.2022 Finally! We have been able to blow some glass this week. Feels good! Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered a Hothaus Limited edition paperweight at the start of lockdown 2.0. We have busy packing today and they are being shipped out to you tomorrow. You purchases of these paperweights have helped us progress the build on the furnace and we can't wait to show you!

14.01.2022 - LIMITED EDITION PAPERWEIGHTS - As you know we are in the midst of building our very own furnace. we have been working hard and hit a few road bumps along the way (oh you, know, just a little world wide pandemic paired with a VERY expensive new burner...) and now we need YOU to help get us over the line. We have designed a special Colourscape Paperweight in our signature HotHaus colours with gold leaf added for that special somethin' somethin'. When you buy a limited editi...on, custom made paperweight you will be contributing to our final phase of the furnace build. A limited run of x100, each signed, numbered and beautifully packaged. But wait, there's more... When you purchase your paperweight online through our shop, the first x20 sales will have the option to buy a paperweight for $100 or $200. What does my $200 get me you ask? This option gives you the opportunity to make your own solid glass paperweight with us as Hot Haus as soon as we finish building our furnace!! Say What?! That's right, we are giving you the opportunity to come and have a go at hot glass work with us in our very own studio (once the furnace is fully operational and we are out of stage 3 COVID restrictions). 14.01.2022 Hello friends! Apologies for the lack of updates, we've already had a busy start to the year...! At the start of 2020 with fires seemingly raging all around Amanda and Laurel put their heads together and decided to do an Instagram fundraiser to raise funds for Wildlife Vic. By auctioning off some of our work, we managed to raise $1000! All funds went directly to Wildlife Vic.... We also shipped out a bunch of stunning pieces to Our Second Nature, Singapore. These beauties were designed to compliment the colours of their 'Lightyear' range. They came up so nice. And finally, the news you've all been waiting for...! We're starting our furnace build at the end of February!! This is a complicated and labour intensive build, but we have a special guest coming to help us... stay tuned

13.01.2022 Hothaus bosses Amanda and Laurel have been busy making sweet tumblers in preparation for Saturday's Open Haus. Bartender's Friend by Amanda Dziedzic will be available in a selection of colours that would pair gorgeously with a whiskey cocktail. While Laurel Kohut's Tulip tumblers are just perfect for a wine or refreshing gin and tonic. Get in quick on Saturday as these cups are very popular!

10.01.2022 F U R N A C E U P D A T E Look it! We are doing it! This is where our build is at so far. This is what your limited edition paperweight purchases are funding! Thank you to everyone who has purchased, there are still some left available to pre-order for the next batch. Each paperweight sold brings us closer to our goal of a hot glass furnace.

10.01.2022 We’ve just finished two days of intensive furnace building with Tom Rowney. Tom is an amazing artist and also the current studio tech of Canberra Glassworks. Tom’s shared SO much of his knowledge with us in the last two days and truly put this build on the right track. It’s been amazing. We are exhausted and very grateful. Our new baby is still a few weeks away from being fired up, but we are getting there.

08.01.2022 We are so pleased to be able to show you the work of another talented Hothaus resident, Samantha Mihaly. Samantha’s voluptuous forms reference the female body as she uses glass to explore concepts of self reflection and outward perceptions. Her thoughtful feminine work is both moving and powerful, and we are excited to be exhibiting them at Saturday’s Open Haus.

Due to the stage 4 COVID restrictions we won't be able to make any more stock in-house, so going forward we are now only taking pre-orders for our paperweights. We currently have a limited amount of other stock available on our website so if you see something you like get in quick! It's been a rough time for us all, and we really want to thank you guys, our supporters, for cheering us on and keeping us going. Every little sale gives us a boost! We are grateful that we have our beautiful studio and we get to do what we love.
