When you were doing my five day basic grooming course your dreams of working with dogs were so real and passionate, you were a fabulous student, and excelled in your course. But whilst I feel I can teach anybody to groom I cannot put heart in them , and you have the most wonderful, caring , and loving heart....... and all your clients will know and feel that.

24.01.2022 How gorgeous is little Loui today who came in for his haircut and his mum bought him our new Santa tank top and he was kind enough to model the Merch for us!! We’ve got a lovely range of Christmas tanks and T’Shirts , from Dog Bless You , A fabulous New Zealand company that puts emphasis on quality you can wash these guys and have them for many Christmases to come. don’t forget to check them out when you come in.

22.01.2022 Just letting all our clients know that Jake and I have started doing cats again, we had stopped due to Covid-19 and the rest of my staff are not doing the cats but as Jake and I share a household we feel that we are able to work together with in the 1.5 meter range, and what monsters we had in today, this is Ragnar and chaos, and as you can see next to the pup that we were already doing how big these cats are they were monsters compared to the doggies we were doing but ever so good cats.

22.01.2022 I’d love you all to meet Rupert & Rupert is a very special boy, as he is our only client who is a Australian Cobber dog, what is an Australian Cobber Dog you may ask? they are actually the pure bred form of the labra doodle, Because the Labrador doodle will never be recognised as a pure bred breed due to its multiple mixing of breeds the Australian copper dog has been meticulously bread as a pure bred Version of the Labradoodle , paying particularly to the origi...ns of the Labrador doodle where they were originally bred to be very good-natured , allergy friendly, and used as therapy dogs, I will post some information up about them , but if Rupert’s anything to go on & we have only groomed him three times , he is an amazingly good dog fantastic temperament which is a testimony to the diligence of the people that have taken the time since 2012 to develop this breed. 21.01.2022 After HUGO was beautifully bathed brushed and blow dried by Jacob he decided MICKEY wasn’t going to get all the attention and had to get up on the table as well! Again!

21.01.2022 31st of October, Halloween a little bit of fun in the salon today , not sure if our puppies loved it!! November tomorrow and the big lead up to Christmas will begin, what a year we’ve had hope you all enjoy your day whatever you are doing and we look forward to seeing you all getting ready for a bright Christmas we hope .

21.01.2022 Echoes little owner told her mum today I want my dog to have mermaid ears, let’s hope we met the brief as we didn’t get to meet her we are hoping she’s excited with her colour as we are.

20.01.2022 I’d like to let Yeppoon know that Genevieve, is heading back to you ready & excited to start her home grooming business after completing my 5 day basic grooming course. She loves dogs & has decided she would add grooming to her pet sitting service. I think it’s a great addition & I’m sure she is going to do very well.

17.01.2022 Echo and Bowie came in for their makeovers today, Echo was very proud was announcing it at the door how fabulous she looks , Bowie not quite sure he was blue last time so he’s just getting used to the new red colouring.

17.01.2022 We are certainly back in full swing for the New Year and what better photo to put up than Krystles Rainbow unique design cut and colour!! She is certainly going to be a standout anywhere she goes and her mums grandchildren absolutely love rainbows........ so it was a given that her new look had to include a beautiful rainbow happy New Year to all our wonderful clients and their pets I hope the New Year is as colourful and happy as Krystles new hairdo.

No she said , in Dubai he asked would you like some Diamond earings once again she said no , slightly frustrated he asked what do you WANT for your Birthday she replied a dog & beautiful Teddy was the result !!

14.01.2022 Who says men can’t like pink! Dad tells me it started as a joke Dye peanut’s ears pink they said, so we did and every time peanut comes in for her grooming we redo her ears because it is now her look dad says, peanuts just not peanut without her pink ears.

11.01.2022 Cheldon did my 5 day grooming course this week, she works at Happy Pawz doggy day care & is going to be they’re groomer , she’s passionate, kind , & has a fabulous rapport with the dogs, it’s truely wonderful to be part of a new groomers journey.

09.01.2022 Today is Anzac Day and we take this time to remember this special day between Australia and New Zealand and the contribution that they gave, often with their life, also the animals that are still today as much as in history, including every war have contributed often with their lives and saving the lives of the many people who rely on them. Not to mention the service dogs who are helping their owners cope with the likes of PTSD. Today is also Ana’s birthday which we chose to celebrate with a cake while I played a special commemerative Anzac Day playlist, while we worked yesterday afternoon, as we are closed today, I’d like to also add that Ana is our New Zealand staff member, so this day is extra special for her!

07.01.2022 Mr Alfred came in today covered in Bindi’s so we had to do a number 2 haircut to get them all out of his coat which he was such a good boy for, Even happy to have a bit of man scaping done , i’m sure he’ll feel a lot more comfortable now. Meanwhile master Max, Had a number one lion clip today, and we found several speargrass heads in bedded in his skin, speargrass can travel throughout a pets body and end up in areas like the back of their eyes obviously causing huge problems. So be careful out there with all the Bindi‘s and grasses that are seeding now & our pets coats being longer now for winter, are not a great mix.

07.01.2022 So this happens today I see Helen and our bather and blow dryer Kasey, with poor old bubbles up on the table Casey was wanting to learn to do dying they wouldn’t tell me what colour bubbles was getting, Helen says she was getting him ready for some summer Loven!!!! Not sure how bubbles feels what are you guys think???

07.01.2022 Something lovely for you all going into the weekend check out these gorgeous 2?pussycats Theo & Pootky, their mum was needing to protect their new lounge so she had their claws fitted with Soft Claws, so that they can’t destroy the furniture but they were such wonderful clients and it was so wonderful to see them relaxed and happy after their appointment.

05.01.2022 My beautiful granddaughter Alyssa wants to be a dog groomer when she grows up, and sometimes when we do grow up we choose other careers and then decide to have a seachange as Tammy has done having been in retail all her working life she decided that it was time for her to do something that she would love to do and she has chosen pet grooming and has just completed my five day course. Here are some fun photos of her time in our salon this week and all the beautiful pups she got to play, ( work ) with . She is eventually hoping to purchase a mobile unit in Mackay. We wish her all the best with her new venture.

05.01.2022 When I teach grooming I always talk to my students about the importance of talking to your dog when they’re on the grooming table. we use our voice high and low to help communicate if the dog is moving around too much , as we need to keep our dogs as still as we possibly can as we are using sharp instruments. This is easily remembered, but if they’re sitting or standing well and I always tell them don’t forget to say good boy/girl , when they’re behaving so nicely and you can see how happy they are, they all know those words it’s so easy to be saying No or A A , but we should never take for granted when they are behaving well , they so want to do the right thing by us we’ve just gotta learn the right communication. And how intelligent are they they even understand sign language. This dogs face says it all.

04.01.2022 Hi guys September school holidays are one of the very busiest times of our working calendar so I apologise for the fact that we are completely booked out for this week and hopefully will be able to fit everybody in who we can’t fit in this week next week, however Max today decided no matter how busy we are we still had to have time for relaxation , yoga, and just a little bit of fun with Isabel.

I just thought I’d share with you some photos from our in salon cameras, (I can’t always get around taking photos when I’m busy grooming as well) , of all our different doggies & pussy cats and special moments of the day, from Narisa clipping grooming and dyeing a big sheepdog, Helen and Kasey sorting out a little dog covered in Bindi‘s from a trip to the beach, Jake and I clipping a very very matted cat, Brett , well Brett’s just getting all the loves and cuddles in. this is Groomer Life please enjoy. Message to you Bella you might want to think about your waistline.!!
