24.01.2022 Here is some interesting research which shows that we should be encouraging our children to be active and participate in sport. The benefits are improved social and emotional skills, along with development of self esteem. For all the mums and dads watching on the sidelines, the key is participation and not winning!!! ... http://bit.ly/1rkchZX

10.01.2022 As the days get colder and shorter it is important to make sure we all still get outside and exercise...

09.01.2022 I'm not sure this makes it any clearer...

07.01.2022 Who would have thought that women manage pain better than men...!!! However others reviewing this study feel that resilience to pain is a key factor in managing chronic back pain. Chronic pain is a frequently treated condition at Riverina Physiotherapy Centre with our focus on educating patients regarding pain management techniques and strategies to enable improved patient understanding of what can be a frustrating and debilitating injury. ... We aim to teach our patients to maintain normal function and activity, despite having chronic pain.

06.01.2022 Perhaps we should all be doing some resisted exercise as part of our regular exercise routines...food for thought

06.01.2022 More evidence that exercise can assist in management of long term conditions...the challenge for all of us is to get out and do exercise in this weather!

05.01.2022 Our Breast Cancer Exercise Classes are now entering their fourth week and are proving to be very popular. The classes, the only one of their type in the Riverina, are run at Fitness After 30 in conjunction with the Wagga Wagga Breast Cancer Group and use progressive resistance training over a ten week program. Demand is high for these classes and we are now looking at running the classes again, beginning in late April for ten weeks. If you or anyone you know has had breast cancer or lymphoedema, or is currently having treatment and may be interested in finding out more about the benefits these classes can bring, call Luke on 6921 7866.

02.01.2022 Chronic pain remains a big issue in society, with one in five people suffering this type of pain. The Ride for Pain in Adelaide brought awareness to this cause. The video is fascinating and sheds light onto how people manage pain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oC0sX19uVhU&feature=youtu.be
