18.01.2022 Bit of a legendary job today. 2 legends under the same roof Just a quick tidy up on this bullbar which was last polished using paste polishes & lambs wool, which leaves frosty swirl marks all over it. So I used some P14F medium cut which worked very nicely Process: ... Medium cut P14F (stock arriving soon) With heavy cut wheel, Final finish 480BLF With soft flannel wheel. #menzerna #barup

17.01.2022 Got a chance to throw some love over the bar on Brad’s big banger yesterday. The bar was still looking sharp but with some moderate sand pitting over it. So I sanded from 180 up & let Menzerna do the hard yakka. Came up a treat & for nearly 6 years old still looking as good as new #menzerna shine

15.01.2022 Ok so we get questions often asking the best way to polish wheels. So I’ve compiled a sequence to help DIY’s. I always work in 3rd’s (roughly) and spin the wheel around & overlap what I’ve just completed. Following the red arrows will be beneficial for right handed grinders as the handle is on the opposite side for left handed preferences. In that case, reverse the pattern I’ve shown. Using a 9 grinder can be daunting at the best of times, but following the diagram will have... you polishing with minimal risk of the grinder ripping out of your hands. Working away from holes & edges is the only way to safely polish with 9 grinders. If you have wheels with tyres mounted, lean them against a solid surface.. if not, I’ve found using milk crates to be perfect to sit the rims in. 15.01.2022 In this post, you’ll see the steps I use to remove boot scuffs & literally any light scratches from your aluminium & stainless items. Step 1- high speed sand with 400 Step 2- orbital sand with 600/800 to remove any 400 grit sand marks Step 3- polish out with 9 grinder & 439T heavy cut compound & heavy cut wheel (orange) Step 4- run your soft flannel wheel over polished areas with a 7 sander/polisher & the 480BLF finish compound. ... Step 5- using a soft polishing cloth, lightly wipe off any residual compounds. 03.01.2022 For the DIY’s out there wanting to know the right tools for the job. These are what I use. Fein make the 9 grinder (which does 95% of the job) Fein WSG25-230 which is still built with a handle lock-on. Most 9 grinders are deleting handle lock on switch as a stupid safety feature. Not very good for 10 hours solid holding in the bloody handle. I currently use 2 different 7 sander/polishers for high speed sanding & final finishing with the white flannel wheels. The Bosch GPO ...12 CE is more compact & definitely a nicer machine than the American Dewalt. & finally the cheap $69 makita 5 orbital sander I use to go over the job with the finer grits (600-800) before the cutting step. There’s really not much else you’ll need to do your bars, tanks, wheels & the odd stainless bits on your truck. 03.01.2022 Bit of a tidy up on this clean Mack. 2 main tanks, visor, adblue tank, exhaust cover & battery boxes. Stainless items mainly only required 480BLF & the white wheel.
