07.01.2022 FUNDRAISER COMPLETE A massive thank you to everyone who have helped raise all the funds needed for Zaituna’s medical care! I’ve woken up to more do...nations! We made it, we’ve received enough money to cover the hospital bill. I’ve just send the money and we even had a little spare to buy Zaituna a soft toy and some money for food. In the hospitals in Uganda you get no meals so it’s a blessing to be able to get her and Mark some. Zaituna is now in Kampala hospital and in safe hands. She will stay a week at least there. Mark our director in Uganda is with Zaituna and is sleeping by her side at night in a chair. He won’t leave her side. God bless him for his continuous loving care and devotion to all our beautiful children. A huge thank you to child protection in Bugiri for their support with Zaituna, paying just over half the hospital bill. Mark ended up on tv when reporters showed up and filmed the hand over of money to Mark for Zaituna. We greatly appreciate child protection’s help. They enabled Zaituna to go by ambulance to Kampala Hospital, a 6 hour drive! So to everyone out there words cannot express how truly grateful we are for your kindness and care in helping Zaituna get better. She was admitted to hospital yesterday and is in a critical condition. She has been diagnosed with sickle cell disease and has severe malaria. As you can see they have started treatment but she needs to go to the capital city’s hospital In Kampala for further treatment. The bill will be $3,500. Child Protection of Uganda is paying $1,950 thankfully. But.... we have to pay remaining balance of $1,550 Unfortunately we have nothing left in our account. Covid has really affected our funds from the charity shop and we barely meet our week to week bills. So we have to ask for help. If anyone is able to contribute to raising $1,550 we would be very grateful for your help. All the blood transfusion is done and now... she is still receiving medication by drip. We cannot thank you enough for your prayers and support. We are so grateful that Zaituna is improving so well. Julius is an orphan and lives with us at House Of Hope Foundation along with his two younger brothers Martin and Vincent. 01.01.2022 This video will give you a small idea of the township of Bugiri in Uganda where our ministry is. There’s much poverty. The scene of the camera turning showing the road and shop fronts is the main road that runs through town. It goes from the capital city Kampala (6 hours drive from Bugiri) all the way into Kenya not far from us. About another hour plus drive.
