25.01.2022 Some days I must admit I really love my job. This beautiful Corvette is another of Rons gorgeous builds.

25.01.2022 Two more cobras. I just love these cars. The blue one belongs to Brendon and has just been completed. The maroon one is almost there.

24.01.2022 Glenns beautiful old F100 with an independent front suspension clip, small block ford and really nice details and finish. I like that tilt forward bonnet too Glenn. Two decades in the build and it shows with all the little details in the workmanship. And yes he did it almost entirely himself.

24.01.2022 Some days you realise that ingenuity comes in many different forms. And while one mans idea of engineering is awesome to another it may be a little bit haphazard. I looked at this American import muscle car today and the vehicle has had a quite unique modification to allow a person of really large stature to comfortably operate the vehicle.... It has the original seat slides retained with an additional set of seat slides fitted on top. This allows the seat to slide backward twice as far as standard. Truly awesome as it means you have two separate seat slide levers as well. Very complex and very man worthy. Oh and completely non compliant in this format.

24.01.2022 It's pretty rare I see something that I have never worked on before. And I absolutely love it when I get to see something new or different. This little machine owned by Max is a Honda Motocompo compact scooter designed to be folded up and put in the back of a very small car. Enjoy the photos.

23.01.2022 And some days are just great fun. Love your cars Bill.

23.01.2022 Another beautiful Cobra. This one was built by Neil. This girl is another stunning example of the quality builders that are putting the time and effort into building their dream car.

23.01.2022 Who doesn’t love an old Magnum PI 308 Ferrari. Great car and great customers.

22.01.2022 Another beautiful Kirkham Cobra complied. This is Pauls supercharged V8 monster. I have got a soft spot for these muscle car classics.

22.01.2022 Another great day at work. A brilliant build by Nev on this Chev pickup on late model utility chassis with V8 running gear.

22.01.2022 Some days are more fun then others. You just cant beat the engine noise of 10 cylinders.

21.01.2022 A big shout out to Smoked Motorcycles. Every creation they make is gorgeous in its own right. So it is always a pleasure working with these guys. Shane, Ben, Noel, Vince, Jack and the crew just love what they do. And it shows in their work.... Drop in to the Valley in Brisbane and check out their shop with cafe, lounge and barber. And a lot of beautiful creations.

21.01.2022 Motorcycle tail tidy fitting is allowed if done correctly. Most systems do or can comply. Or we can do one off inspections and applications to approve if they dont meet this instruction below.

20.01.2022 4WD lift kits. We published some details on 4WD lift kits about 4 years ago. Not much has changed in that time. But the one thing that has hit the news recently is details on ESC vehicles with big lifts. Unfortunately if your vehicle has ESC you can only increase your vehicle height by 50mm. It must be suspension lift only, as in increased spring height/length.... If you have an ESC vehicle with anything else unfortunately you are probably driving an illegal vehicle. Contact your kit seller or installer/workshop and ask them how they can help you sort it out.

19.01.2022 I gotta say I have a soft spot for the 20's and 30's cars. Chris' perfect A model had me at hello.

19.01.2022 Omg American humour is unusual but funny at times.

19.01.2022 Converted in NSW and now approved in QLD. A purpose built vehicle to assist the customers wheelchair mobility and access.

15.01.2022 Who’d of thought this was the same bike? Beautiful job by Black Cycles.

15.01.2022 Yep its the little VW that could. The owner of this gorgeous beetle did an amazing job on converting it to electric drive. It is one of the best conversions I have ever seen (electric or internal combustion) and an absolute credit to him. Especially considering it was all built at home in his garage.

15.01.2022 A few more cool bikes and trike we have just completed this month.

15.01.2022 Nothing tops off a day more than complying and testing some cool cars then getting to see someone's collection. I had a big day traveling to these workshops but enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you Kenny and Ray

14.01.2022 Some well built Germans making their way into service through some love and attention from Brad McKernon restorations.

13.01.2022 Who doesnt love an old Magnum PI 308 Ferrari. Great car and great customers.

12.01.2022 Cobras are always a pleasure. We comply a large number of these every year for all the quality kit builders. And we absolutely love these classic replicas.

12.01.2022 Trikes are still popular amongst our bike brethren. With the new Harley trike on offer we have customers also converting their older bikes too.

11.01.2022 Another custom bike completed and complied. This is one of Smoked Motorcycles specialty builds. Looking forward to the next one Shane. Absolutely beautiful.

11.01.2022 Two beautiful muscle cars in orange. I just love those colors. This job can be difficult some days and great fun the next.

07.01.2022 Who doesnt love a Kombi. They are getting rare but we have customers sourcing them from around the world. We loved the colours on this customers beast.

06.01.2022 Motorcycle exhausts. Make sure the manufacturers name/recognized brand and details as below are on your exhaust.

06.01.2022 Another imported vehicle coming into the country. We have inspected, complied and fitted the plate so the customer can go down and just pay the registration. Then ride ride ride. Import approvals are one of our mainstays of work. Bikes, cars, trucks, trailers etc, we do them all.

05.01.2022 Another beautiful Kirkham cobra on its way to Rego. This one is Nick's gorgeous build and features polished racing stripes on the Aluminium body. Sensational job by Nick in this build.

05.01.2022 Let me preface the following by saying I have tested and complied many hundreds of 4wds since I started inspecting and complying vehicles in the 1990s. I have been lucky enough to be involved with some very talented designers, entrepreneurs and vehicle builders and owners. I have performed so many lane change manoeuvre tests (swerve tests) I couldnt count them. I have been heavily involved in writing and reviewing legislation and policy on vehicles etc etc etc....Continue reading

05.01.2022 Another cool ICV motorcycle completed today. Love the paintwork. This one will be up for sale soon too for $55000.

04.01.2022 Every now and then you just st need a gratuitous few photos of something petite and beautiful. These ladies have a lot of years under the belt and still look gorgeous.

04.01.2022 Another beautiful Kirkham cobra on its way to Rego. This one is Nicks gorgeous build and features polished racing stripes on the Aluminium body. Sensational job by Nick in this build.

03.01.2022 The previous workshop ute. She ended up with a big block Chev after running around with a blown small block for a number of years first. It was a sad day when we let her go to her new home. She was a HQ chassis 57 Chev pickup. We'll sort of.

02.01.2022 Cute little sidecar. Beautifully painted by Noel at Black Cycles.

02.01.2022 There is something gorgeous about the Porsche. We comply everything from 911s to 916s.

02.01.2022 Bikes with side mount brake and tail lights. Queensland Transport Legislation and Australian Design rules do not allow a left hand side fitment. So all the imported left hand side mounts are not legal.... For Individually constructed vehicles (new built bikes using new built frames such as Paughco or Kraft tech) you need to centrally mount your tail light, brake light and number plate. For registered bikes or bikes previously registered you can mount centrally or to the right of the bike. But make sure your lighting and plate is far enough back to be visible. (No mounting on the axle line unfortunately) Here is a correctly mounted plate and light just finishing the fitment stage on a currently registered bike.
