23.01.2022 We have 2 more 3PE interim Judges on the list :) Congratulations to Kimberly Howard (Bendigo) and Denyse Menzies (Leongatha). Both are also Official HRCAV Dressage judges. To see the full list please go to; https://hrcav.com.au//3PE-Interim-Style-Speed-Judges-as-of

22.01.2022 Help! The subcommittee is trying hard to turn 3PE into an official discipline- to do so we need numbers!! Please comment below if your club has held a competition, training day or clinic. Number of attendees & club name would be great too. Thank you

20.01.2022 One of our NSW clubs, Billabong Riding Club, gave 3PE ago, for the first time at their June rally. Members enjoyed the familiarization sessions with different 7 obstacles set up. I think this will be a regular addition to the rally calendar, based on the feedback from the club.

These changes are still under review with no firm date for implementation at this stage.

19.01.2022 Hustrbridge took delivery of this bridge yesterday. We are very impressed with the workmanship and service provided by Horse Play Obstacles. Painted in Club Colours, rubber footing, and custom made to comply with 3PE dimensions.

17.01.2022 COVID 19 - HRCAV policy Due to the escalation of concerns about the Corona virus and the need to provide our Clubs with clear guidance about events and activit...ies, it has been decided to suspend all HRCAV competitions until 18th May 2020. The HRCAV will continue to monitor the situation and will extend the period of suspension if necessary. Like this page or monitor our website https://hrcav.com.au/ to stay informed. Event organisers are advised that entry refunds must be provided upon request, with the usual vet or medical certificate requirement waived until competitions resume. Should you wish to reschedule your event, please contact the office for advice. The event calendar on our website will be updated regularly. Clinics and rallies can still be conducted at the discretion of the Club committee as long as precautionary measures to help protect those in attendance are implemented. Such measures would include: members feeling unwell to stay at home, avoid close social contact at the rally, byo food and drinks, hand soap/sanitiser in toilets and kitchens. Club Secretaries will be notified of the HRCAV policy via email. For further information about Covid 19 go to: https://www.health.gov.au//novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-hea This decision has been made to support the health and safety of our members, families and communities. We find ourselves in a rapidly evolving situation and will share updates as soon as possible.

13.01.2022 Looking after our judges :) In Australia we can have all weather conditions. We have had snow, hot sun, wind, rain and hail at our comps. It's important to remember to look after our judges. There is a lot of information regarding Judges in the Guidelines for Running a HRCAV 3PE Event. One is in regards to shelter; Phase 2 and 3... Ensure adequate shelter is provided for the weather conditions. Most Judges will prefer to be in an open space such as a gazebo for ease of viewing all the obstacles. In extreme conditions a car may be required. Judge to be position to ensure a clear view of all obstacles and the start and finish lines. Clubs can normally purchase a gazebo for under $150 or even ask your club members as there is often someone that is willing to loan one for the day :) Your Judge will appreciate being able to get out of the weather during the day, making the day a lot more enjoyable .

12.01.2022 In this months Chaff Chat you will find the proposed judges criteria for 3PE. Please take the time to have a read. Feedback to be sent to the HRCAV office by the 24th of April.

09.01.2022 Just incase you don't get the Chaff Chat

08.01.2022 A lot of 3PE clubs are making use of format 2 when setting up the draw for their events. This is proving to be a time saver and means one less gear check, as you don't leave the arena between phase 2 and 3. Here is the rule regarding format 2; Format 2; Phase 1 Dressage is completed as per Dressage rules Phase 2 and 3 are completed consecutively, without the rider leaving the arena. The rider will complete the style phase and remain in the arena. The judge will ring the b...ell for the rider to commence the Speed and accuracy phase. Each Phase is to be awarded individually as per rule number 16. Don't forget to make sure you read up on the rules before you head out to compete by visiting the HRCAV website Good luck to those that are competing tomorrow, hopefully the weather behaves itself.

06.01.2022 Proposed rule changes include the 3PE judges criteria. Please have a read.

05.01.2022 The official 3PE rules are now published on the HRCAV website. We look forward to the restrictions being lifted so we can all play again. :) https://hrcav.com.au///08/Three_Phase_Equitation_Rules.pdf

02.01.2022 Thanks MANEMEMORIES for capturing some lovely moments from Sunday's 3PE comp! Riders and horses all did such a great job! There has definitely been some super training happening out there at rallies! Such calm horses at the gate. And cracking halts from ALL levels! It's tricky to maintain your halt in competition pressure, when things seem to go so fast! And the RING! SO many nailed it, and the lines ridden (at all levels) from pole to ring to pole were so clean and straight! I think it's time to make some more challenging courses :) :)
