21.01.2022 The Year 6 students attended a liturgy to celebrate being the Seniors of 2021. The students signed their names on replicas of the senior shirts to demonstrate their commitment to be positive school leaders. We look forward to the year ahead with them leading our school.

21.01.2022 Today our school attended the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal Launch. Giann and Lexi presented a hamper on behalf of the school during the launch.

21.01.2022 Tomorrow is Indigenous Literacy Day which is a celebration of Indigenous culture, stories, language and literacy. To celebrate, students and staff are invited to wear their Holy Spirit Indigenous shirt that was designed by Isabella and Lachlan.



20.01.2022 To conclude National Child Protection Week, Katherine Olsen and Christie Sinclair from TCE led safety sessions for Prep to Year 2 - Protective Behaviours and Years 3-6 for Cyber Safety.

20.01.2022 Our Quest for Knowledge winning team was presented with the Diocesan Winners Trophy by Mrs Kathy Park, Acting Education Consultant from TCE. Once again, well done and congratulations to our students!

19.01.2022 A reminder to all our families that our Athletics Carnival is taking place this week. This Friday 28 Aug is the Prep to 6 Track and Novelty Events. 19.01.2022 Congratulations to our Students of the Week and Year 4A for leading our Virtual Assembly this week!

19.01.2022 Well done to those Year 6 students who participated in the Mini Vinnies homelessness experience. Students were encouraged to donate at least one cleaning product which will be given to the St Vincent de Paul Society to assist families in need moving into accommodation. It is not too late to donate. Families are encouraged to send in cleaning products to be part of this worthy cause. You can give them to the class teacher or drop in to the office.



18.01.2022 This morning, 8 Year 6 students visited Brooklea Village and delivered hearts which have been made for the residents and workers as part of the 1000 Hearts project. This project is based around small hand made pocket hearts which are offered as symbols of compassion, care and kindness. You can see the story on WIN Television tonight from 6pm. Well done to Mrs Donlan and our Year 6 students.

18.01.2022 Congratulations to the elected leaders of Grades 5 and 6! Today the Grades 3 - 6 celebrated our Beginning of the School Year Mass with Father John in the Hall. Well done to students from 6C who helped present the Gospel story. Mass was followed by the commissioning of the 2021 elected school leaders.

16.01.2022 Today, we celebrated National Flag Day with a special visit by Phillip Thompson - Federal Member for Herbert. Students in 5D enjoyed talking with Phillip and asking questions about the Government. Thank you to Phillip for providing our school with new flags.

16.01.2022 Today we welcomed our new and existing students for the 2021 school year. A special welcome to our Prep students as they begin formal schooling at HSCS. It was lovely to see so many smiling faces!

15.01.2022 For their final primary school Japanese lessons, Year 6 enjoyed a number of activities.

15.01.2022 Year 3A and 3B showing off their skills. Milo was created. Milo is a moving robot with a motion sensor who can identify and detect a special plant specimen and play a sound. Well done!

These shirts will be allocated 10 special days in the year to be worn. CUTOFF for order is Thursday, 17th of September, close of Business, 4.30 pm. Unfortunately NO ORDERS will be accepted after this date.

14.01.2022 Great to see so many smiling faces today as families got in early to drop off books. We look forward to seeing all our students when they return on Wednesday, 27 January 2021!

13.01.2022 A number of our students are part of our school's Instrumental Programme. Children in Years 2 to 6 have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. Well done, everyone!
