13.01.2022 Pre-service Teacher placements needed Urgent assistance is needed for School Placement of third year pre-service teachers within Metropolitan Sydney, Gosford and Newcastle area schools. The University of Sydney Secondary Professional Experience Office is seeking your assistance with... the school placement of third year pre-service teachers of History (Ancient, Modern, Junior History). Commencing: *3-26 February 2021 (*start date is negotiable. Prac Students only need to teach 5x 40 Minute periods in week 1 ). Unfortunately, due to COVID19 restrictions a small number of our students have been unable to secure their first school placement. As they are starting their university courses in March, it is a matter of urgency that they secure a placement of twenty days prior to commencing their coursework. The teachers have History (either Ancient, or Modern, or Junior History) and a few also have English or a HSIE subject in their degree. Supervising Teachers would qualify for NESA accreditation in this regard. For further information contact: Cheryl Bell, [email protected]

05.01.2022 A busy day of planning for the HTANSW Board! With a new website and endless professional development opportunities in store. Serving the teaching community. We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming events in 2021.

01.01.2022 The Australian Historical Association are keen to connect with History teachers. They do not want to compete with HTANSW but there may be resources and 'services' that they can provide that will contribute to your classroom. Any suggestions?
